If you have been to Haven before you dont need to collect the Sun tokens or send off a form , just ring up Haven and ask about the £9.95 holidays and you can book now. Be careful tho as sometimes they can work out alot dearer than going direct
Just tried this and Haven wont accept direct bookings - told me all £9.50 holidays had to go through the Sun and see if you are chosen.0 -
Managed to get an almost half price holiday. One week at Devon Cliffs (not far away I know but it is gorgeous there!!) for £268 in April for gold!!
Well happy, thanks:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0 -

Worked for me last year, it even says in the leaflet that Haven sent me you can have another holiday for the same terms.0 -
Before you book a caravan holiday with Haven compare the prices and facilities that the private caravan owners on the same site provide.
We own a caravan at lakeland Leisure Park, Cumbria in the lakes and our prices are not only cheaper than Haven but our caravan is far better with freeview, DVD, central heating, double glazing etc etc. I stayed in a Haven caravan once and it was old and shabby, with very basic equipment.
If we ever go to other parts of the country we always hire from private caravan owners from the site below.
Link enclosed , just click on county you wish to stay and it will show available caravans.

Thanks Doozeruk
This is why we don't include passes and some people use the caravan as a base and not interested in using Haven's facilties so unfair to include this in the price. Unfortunately nothing I can do about the cost of passes as this is what Haven charge

I looked into getting one privately at Devon Cliffs but although they seemed cheaper you have to buy entertainment passes separately which made a big difference. I guess it depends a lot on what you want to do on holiday as I know on rainy days the extra facilities provided would make a big difference!:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. (Haven Europe as was). Does anyone out there own a caravan on a Siblu site in Italy, or know of a place to book privately like the link above for the UK?
We were going to collect sun tokens, but this is a very uncertain way of doing it. Also, not too impressed with the site at Vias plage (south of france) last year.0 -

Anyone been to Rockley in Dorset--whats it like?
Such a good site and perfect for exploring. We always use Rockley as a base and drive each day to other locations.
Poole is just so peaceful and tranquil but with loads to do with the kids in the park.
Outside the park you have the harbour and Poole park, but you've also got Bournemouth (4miles away) which has the best sandy beach.
Going west you also have Weymouth (another great seaside town with a good beach). Portland Bill is also down that way which is a cracking lighthouse.
We also spent a day going along to Brighton (1.75Hrs drive)
Also, don't forget the Park's beach as well - although pretty small, it is a great place for a walk in the morning.
I've also been to Peranporth in Cornwall, but prefer Rockley park. Looking for somewhere different this year (Wife & 4 Kids to keep amused!) But I like the weather on the South coast. (from just outside Glasgow).
JStay happy & enjoy yourself - no matter what !0 -
Haven't stayed there but do live in the town, for things to do there are boat trips round the harbour, visits to Brownsea island (national trust ) swanage and the isle of purbeck, corfe castle (enid blytons kirrin castle), bournemouth oceanarium for rubbish weather, lots of walks etc.
SHops in poole a bit rubbish, nearly all chain stores but does have a 3 floor newly opened Primark.
Rockley park has some nice gentle walks too but is hilly in places if this is a problem.
In the summer the BIC in Bournemouth has a temporary ice rink.0 -
Park resorts seem a bit cheaper than Haven - don't know what they're like though. About £450 for 7 nights at end of July at the Borth one in Wales. Thinking of booking this for next summer.0
