Presthaven Sands is right on the beach....and if you dont have transport it is only a couple of min from the train station, £4 in a taxi.

We like Rockley Park. I agree, Coombe Haven is awful.

But, we went to Rockly Park last year in May/June half term holidays (paid via Tesco Deals!) and booked again onsite for this year. We got a better deal and summer holiday week.

So - we have a 3 bed silver caravan last week in July for £525 (including bed guard linen etc. The kids love it, loads to do and I like the piece and quiet. A co-op is nearby for cheaper shopping and main town is easy to get to.

If you have been to Haven before you dont need to collect the Sun tokens or send off a form , just ring up Haven and ask about the £9.95 holidays and you can book now.

Be careful tho as sometimes they can work out alot dearer than going direct

I picked up a Haven brochure today and I've just been looking at it and am confused over the pricing. I got a quote on line for a 7 day holiday and it came up as £378. In the brochure the same week, same accomodation etc is shown as £689. BUT this price is marked in yellow which indicates this is a half price holiday. Is the price in the brochure the half price price? If not then it would be cheaper to book on line if the price is half of £689.

The prices do work out the same but don't forget you have your £10 linen deposit and the £22 cancellation insurance to pay.

From what i remember......last year we didn't book during the half price 'doflopper thing'.....we waited until about 4 weeks before we wanted to go (end of May and it rained everyday ) and got a caravan at an even cheaper deal than if we had booked when they were half price.

    Anyone else experience this?

Oh BTW MIRANDDAB your home looks stunning, but with 2 adults and 3kids the entertainment passes would kill us, great for our parents though...thanks.

Will bear you in mind in future.

Inlaws didn't like Primrose Valley, they liked Devon Cliffs and I liked Burnham on Sea (very quiet). I think that its down to personal taste, worth paying for a dearer caravan, the one we stayed in at Burnham was really nice.

I fancy somewhere a little quieter with rock pools etc, we dont need the amusements so much, Can you tell me more about Burnham??

We do need facilities, but we once went to France, we saw jelly fish, tiny crabs with jewells on their backs, starfish loads of wow shells & pebbles and so much more, is there anything like this in the UK?? All our kids, boys and girls from 21 to 8 (as where, 2 years older now) (married twice!! his and mine!!) really enjoyed this!!

It was such a relief to entertain everyone!!! The older ones dont come with us now, but I would love to find that feeling here, but in the UK, and experience the pleasure of everyone being content again!!

    Any ideas??
