Thanks. I knew this but it's worth mentioning. One thing I'd like to know is there anyway to know the price before they get here? Also, if they refuse the voucher and I don't accept delivery will they charge me the delivery costs?

Unfortunately I dont think there is anyway of checking the final price before they deliver, unless someone else can point us in the right direction.

It was one of the things I really liked about Ocado, you could check your order online and see exactly what they were delivering and how much. With Tesco there's always that 'will they have everything and will all the offers/vouchers work etc'. Having said that, Ive been having Tesco deliveries for approx 5 years and have never had one of these type of vouchers refused, even when the overall spend total has been reduced because some items were out of stock.

sorry, Ive never not accepted a delivery so havent any personal experience but have read on another site I'm a member of where people have refused delivery and not been charged a delivery charge.

    dont worry they wont :)

I ordered on an account which I had an online delivery in the last month - my order arrived yesterday with the £20 taken off, hth

Just to confirm this in case anyone else is wondering - I too had an active account with Ts (albeit only used once) but when delivred the invoice showed £20 off and yesterday £21-odd was taken out of my account so it does work ok.

One item I ordered was OOS so I got a replacement which I didn't want and sent back and oddly the refund for this item is showing on my bank account 1st and then they debited the full invoice amount (including this item) afterwards which seems an odd way round to do it:huh:

I wouldn't mind if some items are OOS as long as I get the £20 discount. Maybe I should have gone for many of the same items to increase the chance it was OOS. I wonder what they'd do if you ended up with only £15 worth of shopping, would they give you a fiver back? :D

    Ocado/Crowdity messed up.

    Now it's time for Ocado/Groupon.

Actually Crowdity didn't mess up. Ocado pulled the deal unbeknown to crowdity. I may be biased but I know some of the people that work for crowdity and they were genuinely upset about what happened. They are a small family business trying to do well against big giants and have tried to rectify the issue by arranging this fantastic tesco deal. I think they have done all they can considering the circumstances!
  • Just a couple of things for those who haven't shopped online before...

You are charged after your delivery...the full amount on your invoice, but if you send anything back you are refunded. The refund generally comes in about the same time as the charges go out, but not always. It's generally there within a couple of days though.

I can't see why they wouldn't accept the voucher, they are all unique codes. In my experience, if they are not going to accept a code, a warning mesage comes up on your final payment page that the code is not valid etc etc, so you will know in advance if that is the case.

If you allow subs...if they sub with a cheaper item, you are charged the lower price. If they sub with a more expensive item, you are charged the price you would have paid for the item you originally ordered.

For example, I ordered a few of the 5p value baby baths, & they were subbed with these...http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=258938152 which of course I paid 5p each for. :D
(I generally find it's worth while to accept subs on your order as you often do better. If they send something you really don't want, just hand it back to the driver & you will be refunded.:))

Subs are easy to spot as they are packed in a different coloured bag..for me they are blue. (By the way, frozen comes in grey bags, again making it easy to quickly separate your shop.)

If after your delivery there is a problem, wrong/missing item, broken eggs or whatever, just ring the number on the top right of your invoice, & in my experience anyway, you are quickly refunded.

i still think both ocado and crowdity messed with that particular offer.

but you're right, hats off to crowdity on this offer. :T they should have done this offer in the first place.

you did well arranging it with tesco. ;)

My delivery was due 20.00-22.00 last night. At 6.30pm last night i had a serious car accident, cars a write off. Delivery driver rang me at 8.30pm advising he was at my house - said he would take back to sotre and i could rearrange. Rang CS this morning, they have already refunded my order - they state they have refunded the full amount ie £46 (before the voucher was taken off) - if this is the case I will be £20 in profit (the voucher value) - i just hope what they say will happen - waiting cautiously for a few days to check my bank. Could've done with the order as well as live in the middle of nowhere and stranded now without a car.

Hi, where can I put the code number?

I can't see it anywhere on the checkout site.
