pls can i have some advice, never done an online shop
if i put its ok to substitute item if OOS can they substitute for a cheaper item and if so will they refund the difference?

Yes - and the driver will tell you when he delivers what has been subbed and you'll see the price difference on the invoice and of course you can always refuse it if it is a brand you don't like etc

does he refund the amount back onto your card then at the time?

also presuming it wouldn't affect your £20 off £40 then

also what about using coupons? does the driver take these? but how do they get deducted as you have already paid for the shopping

Yippee I hadn't got a code up to yesterday so I sent Crowdity an e mail asking why I hadnt got one as I didn't unsubscribe after the last fiasco, and lo and behold, one in my inbox today never done an online shop with Mr Ts before so am gonna read right through this thread and see what other savings I can make, any tips gratefully received
