currently on hold to orange trying to eat a big frog!

handset is faulty. 2nd time this has happening in 4 weeks with 2 different handsets (same make and model) and they want to give me a 3rd handset but basically for the last 6 weeks ive had faulty phone and paying a fair amount for the privilege and im not risking a 3rd handset going the same way.

and i had to drive 140 miles to test the handset too! (70 miles there and back - impromptu visit to family i could ill afford to keep kids amused and to test the coverage!)

Thank you, Jue and Greenbee. :A:A I kid you not, this thread is an absolute lifeline for me!:o

I'm very lucky in that Mr LW is so kind and helpful - but he simply doesn't "get" the depression side of it, bless him.:o I think men often struggle to understand "emotional" stuff. But when you look at how many of the tasks on the list are "Done by Mr LW" each week, I couldn't ask for a better husband, really and truly. Which makes it harder to understand why the flamin' BD keeps hanging around and biting my ankles. Aaaarrrgghhh!!:D

Greenbee I'm so sorry OH isn't being the support you need just now. *Sigh* if I was mobile, I'd come along to the hossy with you. Fwiw, I'm sending lots of strength, courage and healing vibes your way.:o

I'm decluttering lunch prior to giving the kitchen the works - seems silly to clean all the tops then make them mucky again making a sandwich.;)

We've got nut loaf with sweet'n'sour rice for dins, followed by cherry crumble which is already made, so an relatively easy dins; I must remember to get Mr LW to prep some spuds tonight and leave them in water, as I need them tomorrow to make Shepherd Spy.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hey everyone,

Again not posted for days as have been at mum and dads Thursday-Saturday (I do this every 2 weeks as they look after the monsters for me while I work).
Hugs to Greenbee and Lamewolf (if you want them!)
And thanks to Pigpen and Toots and everyone else. This thread is really helping me (although I seem to be going two steps forward and one and a half back). House is a tip just now, I had a bad day yesterday - friends coming for tea, and I had that stressy three- hour-crisis-cleaning-and-trying-to-cook-at-the-same-time. I haven't really had that feeling for a good few weeks, and I need to pull my socks up. I am just a naturally untidiy person, and so is my OH. Hey ho, will try and do what I can when I get home from work.

    xx

I'm in - hugs and spoons to all who need them!

Had a rotten weekend - BD hit with avengance completely out of the blue.

Got up today and discovered my membership of the board for parents/carers of kids with ME wouldn't work - they claim I haven't paid since 2009 - am trying to sort it now! Grrr!!!

Special hugs to greenbee and LW - greenbee - I do hope OH grows a set and decides where his priorities are!

Won't bore you with my stuff - it seems very trivial in comparison, but I know i need to start looking for a new job, cos I'm not putting up with this for much longer - I am not a doormat!

thanks to Piggers and the Flylady central Command

I am flying off piste this week ;)

I SHALL be doing various rooms and laundry (not that there is much at the moment) but I am dealing with frogs/Toots list/round to it stuff and what a start I have made

this morning I have mown the lawn at the back and cleaned out the shed - and now that the Vallikids are growing up I have been ruthless. Car now full of gibble to go to tip. Small boy given mini skateboard and cricket set (no ball) next doors dawg has new balls to play with (nb small boy, and parents known to me) Shed looks mint though I say so myself. Also in car is snooker table I have sold to colleague - which I will deliver. Basketball post (small one) left on front garden in the hope that someone will liberate it - if not I shall offer it on freecycle.

    Ha - tis freecycled

I have also started cleaning between the blocks on the block paving - grr at the moss *fling*

    gonna have a shower now

  • Greenbee, sorry to hear that - but well done. You have a right to come first as much as anyone else. I hope that all goes well today and your recovery is a quick one, and don't forget, some of us are quite amenable to [STRIKE]hopping[/STRIKE] hauling carcasses on trains if requested!

LW, it's tiring being ill. And it is no wonder that you feel down when you work so hard to appear cheerful and you tire yourself out even more. Do you see your GP much to do anything more than get a repeat prescription for painkillers and plaquenil? Are you seeing a rheumatologist?

I know that one of the reasons I get tired/very down is when I am having a flare, and for me, that can be dealt with by having a steroid pulse im at the hospital. I start feeling better almost straight away usually. It could be that it means I can sleep better because the pain is reduced, it could be having other effects, I am not sure. But, obviously, I am NOT giving medical advice, I am saying that sometimes trying something else - through the doctor, including asking to be reviewed by a rheumatologist as there are so many new treatments - may be able to help.

Just because you had an awful ex to contend with doesn't mean you aren't allowed to feel unhappy now when you have Mr LW - that would be like saying because someone had one moment of pure joy and happiness fifteen years ago, they aren't allowed to ever smile again.

Anyway, haven't done much yet - except for clean the bath - oh, and by the looks of the splat trying to get himself stuck under the TV shelf, there's something with more legs than me needing rescuing....
