Gillyppk you can use a clean empty 4 pint milk carton to make the butter. Takes a lot of shaking though so I use the food processor.

If you use the milk or fizzy pop bottle then you have to cut the top off to get it out but saving the buttermilk and thorough rinsing is easier.
my milk cartons are all squashed in the garage for "cycling" as my kids call it lol

what does it look like when its shaken enough? any links to pics?

DS2 is allergice to so much i just fancy a little treat for breakfast tomorrow and on a baked tattie next week of proper butter.

    Hello all.

Well, it's not as hot as yesterday, but still feels very sticky.:(

Still, I got a machine-full of Mr LW's clothes washed and dried, so that's good. I can't set the machine up to come on early in the morning and be ready for when our alarm goes of at 05:15 while I have dogs staying, but it's a small price to pay for the pleasure of canine company.:o

I've dusted, polished, and otherwise wiped down all I can reach in the spare room - it doesn't really get dirty in there (apart from the legendary MK dust) because it's just a store room; but it doesn't hurt to give it a good once-over.

The other thing for today was 15 mins in the garden - um..... does 15 mins outside on the back lawn playing Fetch'n'Tug with Ted count?:D There's not much I can do out there at present without Mr LW's assistance; all that's needed out the back now is too heavy for me to do, and I can't be out the front without him there with me at all.

Kaz glad to hear MK hossy was helpful – I won't say “good”, because what's good about having an impacted tooth removed? Hope you're feeling better today.:o

Next week's going to be a non-starter for Flying, I suspect; Mr LW has Monday off for Lughnassadh; and he has two early shifts - Wednesday and Friday - when he'll be wfh and finishing at 14:30. So really and truly I'll only have two actual Flying days, and I shall have Louie to look after.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Been too busy to read over thread, this is my first look this week. Hope everyone is well/coping.

Going to try for a second family flying session tomorrow and having just been allocating jobs from this week's list. Think what I'll do in future is see what gets achieved at the weekend and then try to pick up the remainder in the week.

Going away for a few days to see family, so will have to pack as well.

    Good evening :D
I have had Little Miss Sunshine today, but she was a bit grumpy!

While she was playing with play dough with DD2 I did manage to dust my bedroom :j I also cleaned the TV & laptop screen.

After lunch we had a lie down on the bed and LMS fell asleep. I decluttered 2 episodes of Corrie, and went through 'Socks Reunited' - no matches :( After she woke up we all (DS, DD2, LMS & I) took the dog to the park and checked out the re-vamped play area.

DW on, vac'd downstairs & took kids out for Maccy D's as I CBA to cook :p

I did manage to update my accounts a bit (enough to get a rough figure) and phone tax credits (took half an hour, but it's done now :))

well im so !!!!!!!' angry at myself right now!!

dug out a brand new kilner jar, a big one too, to use to make my butter. poured in my cream and 10 mins later it was starting to separate :j

do i not then go and drop it  cracked my lid and filled the cream/butter with shards of glass and splatters all over my living room!

now not only have i wasted 50p on a reduced tub of cream but also £2.50 on my jar which i had bought 40 odd miles away from home and now leaves me with 2 which will look odd on my shelf esp when i was planning on using them for 2 kinds of pasta and my rice and making it look pretty as well as being useful!
