    If anyone's looking for a 'weighty' wedding band, but doesn't want to pay platinum prices, I strongly recommend tungsten. It is one of the most dense and hardest metals known, so it will never scratch and stay permanently shiny (if that's the design you want...you can get pretty much anything). Best of all, they are available for around £50! H Samuels do a range, but there's a massive selection available on the internet if you know your size.
