    Ah thanks guys.

PinkPrincess83: I like the 3rd ring in your post, where is that from?

Birdie85: I love your ring, where did you get it from?

I think though I may end up getting a plain band.

I did say to H2B he could get the band with diamonds in it for my right hand when I have our first child!:rotfl:

My ring is from Ernest Jones, I was very MSE and used a £50 off a £100 spend voucher that a friend gave me and got discounted vouchers through my work benefits scheme so it only cost £139! :)

My engagement ring is a solitaire and straight bands left too much of a gap, most shaped ones were 'too' shaped so didn't fit well, it was a real headache to find something I liked within budget!

    This is my ring:

I like it because it's a little sparkly and ever so slightly shaped so it fits in with my engagement ring really well. Since getting married I've had a lot of comments on how pretty it looks too. :)

You know that I have this as my eternity ring (I'm sure it was you I was taking to about it?). If I put it on in place of my wedding band, it looks fab with my engagement ring and it sits perfectly against it too.

I already had my eternity ring before we got married, but if I hadn't, it's definitely what I would have chosen as my wedding ring!

I would wear all 3 together, but my right hand is bigger than my left, so the ring is too big on my wedding ring finger :(

Sharpee, I had the opposite problem! My engagement ring is very similar to yours but a round cut stone (still with 4 claws so it looks a bit square-ish) and I was dead set on having a plain wedding band.

But I wasn't "feeling" the plain bands and I actually bought the wedding ring you're not sure about! I loved them together, I thought the sparkliness of the engagement diamond really brought out the bevel cut on the wedding ring. I think you'll just have to keep trying lots of rings on! Trust the shop assistant though, she was the one who insisted I try on "my" one and I fell in love with it and can't wait to wear it! Luckily my parents are looking after the wedding rings for now otherwise I think I'd be sneakily trying it on all the time!

I think the advantage of having a plain wedding ring is that you never have to take it off - with a stone, it's more damagable.

    These are mine - showing my engagement ring, and both our wedding rings;

I tried this ring on yesterday in Hendersons in Glasgow. It was half price at £64. Only problem was i wanted it in 18ct to match my engagement ring but unfortunately it only comes in 9ct.

Cant believe its selling for £275 in Ernest Jones.

That is really nice, but I'm a diamond girl, change the blue for a diamond and though would be perfect for me.

my engagement ring is a very strange as it is a diamond white gold band with diamonds in the shape of a flower (lovd it and didnt really think about wedding bands at the time I got it!) and my wedding ring is also a white gold band with a row of diamonds on it, luckily my engagement ring fits neatly overlapping the wedding band a bit.
only married on july 16th but have had many compliments for the 2, both were from ernest jones aswell so we got 10% when we bought the wedding ring. I hope OP will see these as an example that you are not forced to have a plain band with a blingy engagement ring (although it is of course fine to do so if you like the plain band!)

The blue is a sapphire, and there are 4 tiny diamonds to the right of it.
