Wedding Ring Dilemma

Ok so I thought I knew exactly what I wanted till we went ring shopping yesterday
So my engagement ring is this

And I thought I wanted this as my wedding band

But it looks all wrong
Is it me or do wedding bands just look silly next to a solitaire engagement ring?
We tried on others and the one that looked the best is this

And it did look nice but I was wanting something a bit more bling ans shiney.
What is everyone else having? Please help!

I'm having a similar wedding band, but my engagement ring is a round cut solitaire with a diamond shoulder set so they match better than a plain band.0

My engagement ring is very similar to yours and I have a plain band as my wedding ring, just like the 2nd plain band in your post.
I always think less is more with rings, especially as you don't want to detract from your lovely engagement ring

Well i know how you feel as I felt the same when I tried a wedding band on next to my engagement ring- i wear an eternity ring a bit like the one you imagined you had and so 1) needed something different to that, and 2) because of what my engagment ring it like I personally didnt like having a gap between the 2 rings, my engagement ring is a bit like this but mines yellow gold:

So i had no idea what to get, I did get a quote for a shaped plain 18k 2mm ring but it was like £550 so now I have decided I am going to put my eternity ring away, wear my engagement ring on my right hand and this will be my wedding ring:
Part of me is a bit sad I wont be wearing them together- but I have tried this ring on and love it and its so bling its fine on its own.
Sorry i cant be more help but just wanted to let you know your not alone in feeling a bit unsure about wedding rings. (i havent ordered mine yet so it could yet change!!:rotfl:)
Oh ive just had a thought- do you think it loked wrong because your engagement ring diamond is square and they are round, if so would something like this look better:

or

Sorry if this isnt helping- im just a bit bored and love looking a pretty rings!!!:rotfl:0 -
Im the same as Shellsuit, I got married in May and my engagement ring is a white gold solitare, I tried on wedding rings with a diamond setting but it just didnt look right so I have a plain white gold band and it sets off my engagement ring beautifully.0

My OH's engagement ring is a solitaire and she's got a ring just like the one at the bottom of OP, maybe a little smaller, if anything...the engagement ring is bling enough, I reckon

Why don't you look at diamond cut bands.
They don't have diamonds on them but the metal is cut so that it glimmers and sparkles when moved in the light.
I was originally wanting a band with diamonds in but have gone for a diamond cut band as I didn't want to take the attention away from my diamond engagment ring.
Look on places like Smooch and cool jewlz and the perfect ring company.
All have pictures of rings on the websites (if you want to see them they will come to your house)0 -
My engagement ring is a solitaire and straight bands left too much of a gap, most shaped ones were 'too' shaped so didn't fit well, it was a real headache to find something I liked within budget!
This is my ring:
I like it because it's a little sparkly and ever so slightly shaped so it fits in with my engagement ring really well. Since getting married I've had a lot of comments on how pretty it looks too.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Im having a plain wishbone,my engagement ring has a stone in so didnt want to put it with a diamond set wedding ring as it would look to much,im having the wishbone shaped around my engagement ring0

My engagement ring is a solitaire diamond and i thought i wanted a very plain gold band wedding ring..
I tried on several different thickness bands and none look right. I ended up with a two tone 18ct gold, full set diamond band. Looks like a wide wedding ring combined with an eternity ring.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
