Samsung d600 flashed and wont charge.. help plz
I took my g/f's red Samsung D600 to a local phone shop the other day to get it unlocked, everything was fine until we went to charge it last night. I am unable to charge the phone at all. However I was able to put the battery in a different d600 and charge it using the same charger. I took it back to the shop and they have informed me it is nothing they have done! I can now not also connect the phone to the PC as I get an unrecognized hardware error when connecting it up, can anyone help or advise, im off back to the shop Wednesday to get them to sort it (hopefully). Does anybody know what has gone wrong here, they told me if it needed re-flashing they would have to charge me £30 obviously they can go swing for that!
Any advice would be much appreciated the g/f is not the happiest as it was a Christmas present she can't really use!
Thanks in advance guys!

they must have done something!!!
Just have a look and see if the IMEI numbers match when you type *#06# and behind the battery cover.
Also check if the IMEI sticker behind the battery has not been tampered with.
They may have given you a dodgy phone back!
Ask them to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Unlocking it would not have caused the problem you have there and to be honest I doubt that flashing it would either (£30 is a total rip off anyway .. I charge half that including return postage and unlocking). As rash.m2k says, check the IMEI on the phone against the sticker in the battery compartment and also against the one on the box. If they all match then I would suggest you claim on the warranty as being a red D600 it's got to be fairly new.
You say you tried the battery in another D600 and it charged ok but did you try the battery from the other D600 in the red one?0 -
its less then 10 days old but is the garentee not screwed now cause i got it unlocked?0

Unlocking it shouldn't invalidate the guarantee as lond as they didnt flash it.
Just take it back and plead ignorance .. don't even mention getting it unlocked and I doubt they will even ask.0 -
i think it did get flashed you see that why they say it will cost £30 for a RE-flash0

I had a genuine SW problem with a Motorola C975 a day before the guarantee ran out! The phone just froze.
They fixed it FOC.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -

What network was it on and when you turned it on did you get any of that networks branding .. and do you still get any?0 -
i have not got the phone with me at the mo but it was on t-mobile and we wanted to use o2. It got unlocked to o2 and everything is fine apart from the chargeing? Thanks again for the replys0

They will say RE flash even if the phone has not been flashed in the first place .. it just means they think the operating system of the phone is corrupt and causing your problem. The unlock will not have done it. When you next see the phone start it up and watch it to see if there is any T-mobile branding when you power on or off. If there is then just take it back to where you purchased it .. if not then it is likely they flashed it and you have a problem. It can be flashed back with T-Mobile firmware but you will have to pay. Also check the IMEI as mentioned previously.0
