The problem with selling on MSE is that as the site is financed by affiliate links (you know, all that blurb at the bottom of the weekly emails that nobody reads) there could potentially be a conflict of interest on some of the items offered for sale, so would a moderator then be FORCED to remove a sale that caused a conflict?
Oh and on the subject of IP addresses, most people who use a British ISP (Internet Service Provider) have what is called a dynamic IP address, it's allocated when you log in so there's no absolute guarantee that the IP address you had yesterday will be the same as it is today. Yes I acknowledge some people have fixed IP addresses and most businesses use a set range so someone logging in from a workplace can be traced, but in general, from a private house the answer is no. The only thing an IP address will readily tell you is who the ISP is.0
