stuff chicken breasts with it, wrap in bacon then roast, serve with cream and brandy sauce (optional, obviously) for a posh dinner!- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Hi
I have some pate that needs using up (not sure if it can be frozen?!).
Has anyone any ideas for using it up in meals? I thought about spreading it onto a rectangle of pastry and rolling up like a swiss roll, then cutting into rounds (like American Pinwheels) and baking.
Any other ideas???

Spread it on a seared beef roast, top with sauteed mushrooms, and wrap in puff pastry. Stick in the oven and voila, boeuf en croute! (AKA Beef Wellington) Very tasty and leftovers are great for lunches.Cogito, ergo sum.0

Hi Donna,
There's an older thread with lots of ideas that should help so I've merged your thread with it to keep the suggestions together.

Hi this is my first post. I have been reading the threads on this forum all week. I've been very inspired by all the money saving ideas everybody has.
I am wondering if anybody has ideas on how to use up a block of smooth pate (brussels think).
We had some over christmas and there's loads left, after reading all the inspirational ideas on this board I'm lothe to throw it away.
I wonder if Icould I freeze it

Welcome! Yes you can freeze pate. I'll add this to the existing thread on using it up to give you more ideas.

Thanks Penny, lots of wonderful ideas there. I'm off to slice the remaining pate up and freeze it (might save a slice for breakfast though).
