Be careful , I am sure I read on the SEL ( well the red A4ish sign that advertises the offer) on the 18 pack of stella finishes on 25/07 .'. any deliveries after this date won't compare it to the current £12 Asda offer. May be just as well to check it out if you are placing the order to specifically get the difference back.
    They aren't on offer?

    http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=Stella&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=134182

Think you was looking at the 10 or 12 cans which are 2 for £16.

How long is this taking to track?

I think you will find that the 18 pack of stella is on offer in Asda for £12, however it is £19.99 in Tesco, the whole point of this is suggesting you get the difference back from Tesco as Asda are cheaper ???

Or am I missing something ?

The OP had in their post that they were going to purchase the stella to get the difference back and delivery was for 26/07/11 , however I am sure the ASDA offer for the 18 pack of stella finishes 25/07/11 .'. you wouldnt get the difference back. As the difference is £7.99 it would wipe out a majority of the £10 voucher being used therfore I was just warning in case someone was relying on this as a price matched item.

Perhaps I am wrong at the offer finishing tomorrow ,maybe someone could check if they go to Asda today, I was only trying to give a heads up .

I have quoted the OP for your reference to the 18 pack of stella

Hi everyone, *****EDIT for my shopping example*****

So, here's how my brain worked:

Topcashback { http://www.topcashback.co.uk/home } have, until tomorrow, upto £11.11 of a Tesco shop. Tesco have £10 off a £50 shop. Now, if you buy £50 worth of shopping that is £25 to £30 at Asda you get £11.11 + £10 + £20 JTD voucher! This means a total outlay of £8.89 + delivery for £50 worth of shopping, or for those savvy people, £30 max worth of shopping at Asda. :money:

Now I know a bargain when I see one. This is, however, all dependant on the cashback tracking but if you buy things you want anyway, who gives a hoot if the cashback doesn't track!

    Happy shopping everyone. HTH

So - For those wondering here is a full breakdown.

    Product Tesco Asda Diff back
    McCain Hash browns x 2 £2.80 £2.00 £0.80
    Chicken dippers 24pack £2.76 £2.00 £0.76
    crunchy nut cornflakes £2.98 £2.00 £0.98
    Nescafe original £6.38 £5.00 £1.38
    terry's orange x2 £5.50 £2.00 £3.50
    deep dish pizza x 1 only £1.99 £1.00 £0.99
    pepsi max x 1 only £3.79 £2.00 £1.79
    lilt 1 only £1.78 £1.00 £0.78
    Vimto 2 ltr fizzy x 2 £2.7 0 £1.50 £1.20
    Stella Lager 18 pack £19.99 £12.00 £7.99

    Total of each shop = Mr T £50.67 Mr A £30.50
    Total Diff back = £20.17

Therefore my order is as follows:
    Dear AngelsMadv,
Thank you for shopping with Tesco
Your order number is: blah blah
    We will be delivering on:
Tuesday 26th July between 2pm and 4pm - this slot cost me £2.50
Your groceries will arrive without bags

    Order summary
    Total Savings:£0.00Your Guide price:(13 items) £50.67Delivery charge:£2.50Subtotal:£53.17
    Payment summary
    Total left to pay:£53.17
Clubcard points collected for this visit
    Clubcard points106Green Clubcard points1

So my total cost is £53.17
Minus £10 cashback 1st order (ENTER XXAFFT at checkout - don't forget!)
Minus £11.11 Topcashback (go through link above)
Minus £20 (max is £20 - it's £20.17 in my example) Just the difference (by entering your details when delivered into https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/Default.aspx)

This means a total of £12.06 for all my stuff.

I hope this is clear HTH.

    EDIT -

'Please note that the cashback from TCB is for "Groceries New Sign-up & Purchase", and the £10 code "valid on your first single grocery order".'

    EDIT 2 -

I forgot, I also get my 5p off a litre of fuel voucher for getting the coffee :D:D

If you like southern comfort then there's nearly £7 difference on a litre bottle between the two stores

Thanks very much for pointing this out. I have amended my delivery to

    "We will be delivering on:
    Monday 25th July between 8pm and 10pm"

Sorted! Cheers for your wonderful advice. You could, of course, chose other products, but I fancied a Stella. Oh well, cost me an extra 50p to have it a day earlier! :D

Mine tracked at the full amount. It just states "pending". I have also got two referrals from friendly PMs so thank you both :D

I just placed an order for more than a week away, just ordered a few big things and I can go back later and change items to what I need at the time and what's on sale.

I'm new to TCB; how do I check to see if my order has tracked?

    Thanks AngelsMadv!!

I did my first ever cashback. :j I am so, so happy. Finally took the leap and it worked. It says £11.11 pending in my topcashback account. I did my order over £60 because thought it had to be £50+ after the ecoupon. Too scared to do the price match thing with Asda so just ordered bulk of what I'd use - ie cereals, ragu sauce, etc. Did order some ribena which is cheaper in Asda but will hopefull try to figure out how that works later on.
Thanks for all the pointers and your patience in answering the questions from all us newbies. Have a fab day!! :)

Oooh andI get my order delivered - joined the posh club now!! :rotfl:
