I did my first ever cashback. :j I am so, so happy. Finally took the leap and it worked. It says £11.11 pending in my topcashback account. I did my order over £60 because thought it had to be £50+ after the ecoupon. Too scared to do the price match thing with Asda so just ordered bulk of what I'd use - ie cereals, ragu sauce, etc. Did order some ribena which is cheaper in Asda but will hopefull try to figure out how that works later on.
Thanks for all the pointers and your patience in answering the questions from all us newbies. Have a fab day!!
Oooh andI get my order delivered - joined the posh club now!! :rotfl:
I'm always happy to help. What, with my detest for Tesco and their "trouts" all through their Peter principled tower, combined with the fact that no matter what anyone says, Tesco is bloody expensive cheaper only to the "posh"shops - Sainsbury's, M&S, Waitrose and the like.
It's a shame you bought some stuff that are cheaper at Asda, as you'll not get much back if you bought other products that are cheaper at Tesco. Here's a quick example. Say you bought 1 box of tea that is £2 at Tesco and £1 at Asda, you'd get £1 back. But if you bought 1 tea (£2 to £1) and 1 beer that was £1 at Tesco and £2 at Asda, you'd get nothing back £1 dearer - £1 cheaper = £0.00.
Don't worry about it, tough, just go in and amend your order, take it down to £50 by getting rid of the Ribena!

PS - Robinson's double strength 1.75L is £2 at the moment! Great buy as it really is double strength.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

just a thought, I was wondering is the £6 off £50 morrisons voucher that is in the sunday mirror would be accepted by the delivery driver and knocked off the bill, I have used these in store as our store is very good at accepting competitor coupons, but never on an online delivery0

Hi AngelsMadv,
Thanks for replying. I think I've finally clicked it. So, where tescos products are cheaper than asda they'll include that in the 'balance'. So, as I've bought lots of cereals that are cheaper than asda, they'll take that into account and say that overall we're cheaper? So, to benefit from the 'just the difference' policy you should buy the majority of stuff from tesco which would be cheaper or the same price at asda?
Sorry for the waffle.
Just as well you told me - thought Tesco just checked where they over priced and then gave you the difference. Stupidly didn't think they'd take into account where they were cheaper. Knew Tesco's weren't that nice! Cancelled the Ribenas - the order went down to £50.01. Is that safe??
Thanks again AngelsMadv.

Where does it say its on offer? Also, if ypu go directly to Asda website you will see it's on Rollback not a special. To my knowledge Rollback offers don't have an end date.shimmeringsky wrote: »I think you will find that the 18 pack of stella is on offer in Asda for £12, however it is £19.99 in Tesco, the whole point of this is suggesting you get the difference back from Tesco as Asda are cheaper ???

Or am I missing something ?
The OP had in their post that they were going to purchase the stella to get the difference back and delivery was for 26/07/11 , however I am sure the ASDA offer for the 18 pack of stella finishes 25/07/11 .'. you wouldnt get the difference back. As the difference is £7.99 it would wipe out a majority of the £10 voucher being used therfore I was just warning in case someone was relying on this as a price matched item.
Perhaps I am wrong at the offer finishing tomorrow ,maybe someone could check if they go to Asda today, I was only trying to give a heads up .
I have quoted the OP for your reference to the 18 pack of stella0 -

Well, I just rang the online groceries number Telephone 08457 22 55 33** and the lady thought that the driver would accept a newspaper voucher and bring it back with him to have it taken off.
Guess we will see...:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
