also got another question. can i do pricecheck against different supermarkets for the same order or do I have to pick one (say Asda) and compare my Tesco order to them. the reason I'm asking is because sainsburys seem to have lots of offers on laundry products valid until 18/08!

Very very strange. Got my order and no substitutions were given for the baby stuff (I couldn't see anywhere on the site to allow subs so a bit of a bummer). The very strange thing is that the beer has arrived with a price of £16. Checking mysupermarket it says £12 and the Tesco price is £19.99. Last night the Tesco website definitely said £19.99. No biggie but I *think* my £10 still came off.

Cost pre-promo = 45.xx
Service charge = 5.00
Coupons = -10.00
Total = 40.xx

Now although the docket shows the coupon has come off, the price pre-promo was less than £50 so does that mean my TCB won't track and my coupon may not go through or is what I'm seeing on the docket correct?

What have I done wrong that the prices are all messed up and my value stuff wasn't substituted? The delivery guy said to phone up and complain but the receipt actually says "No appropriate substitution available" so does that mean that I had allowed subs? What would happen if I phone up? It was a gamble getting them and hoping for subs but I only got 4 of one item and none of the other so I could say I needed the stuff that they didn't send.

Sorry if this post is very broken up but trying to type and control 2 kids!!

I dont know what the problem is but the item has to be on Asda.com website otherwise Tesco wont price check it! Have you tried typing in Asda without signing in as maybe the item isnt available at your local store and thats why it isnt coming up?

You have to compare Tesco against Asda. What will happen is you will receive your shopping from Tesco, then enter the receipt details on the Tesco Price Checker site and Tesco will work out how much your shopping would have cost if you had bought it at Asda. If Asda is cheaper then you will receive a voucher that you can print out for the difference in price and use to get the money off your next shop at Tesco's.
