pw we don't have a td and really can't see the point in getting one now, although I guess it's different for us as it's just the two of us and no kids, although if I did want something to help me dry I'd be looking at something like the JML/Lakeland style drier things as a friend has one and raves about it.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hi scuba thankd for posting, since having kids i can't believe how much washing i have, there is always muddy football kits, horseriding stuff to wash and hubbies work clothes, so my washer is on at least twice a day, i have 1 airer but will have a look at the lakeland one, but really think in the long run i'm going to have to get another tumble dryer.
Listed 2 more items on ebay, still hardly any bids or watchers:(.0 -
Pity about the TD, i must use mine every other day
i know that is naughty but with a busy family it really has become as essential , especially on rainy days like today.

Hi pennywise, glad to have found your diary. I know you read mine too. Seems like your ebaying is going well from what I can tell? I find the whole process of listing things so tedious though, well done to your for dedicating your summer hols to it. Is it all going towards the debt or are you saving for a teat or using it for DtD spending?

HI PBS thanks for popping in, ebay/survey money is supposed to be going towards the debt, but little things keep cropping up that need to be paid for. Using Amazon vouchers to buy last few bits that children need for school, stil need to get PE pumps and a coat for DS and a couple of other bits.
DH Tesco vouchers arrived today so now have £18 worth, still need to go and have a look at the rewards to see what i can spend them on.
Right off to finish off tea, bit off a mixture tonight, have done soup and also JKT spuds as just soup won't be enough for hubby, so he can have that to start , followed by jkt and beans.0 -
Morning, its very grey and overcast and looks like i'm not going to get any washing hung out.
Oh is talking about going to buy a new TD this weekend, trying to put him off as the thought of lowering the electric bill by not havng one really appeals, but the thought of having wet washing around doesn't, really not sure what to do.
Today i am aiming for another NSD, going to bake choc muffins with the kids to take to Grandma's as they are having a sleepover there tonight:D, also going to go to the Library, DS is really into doing Jigsaws at the minute and our local Library loans them, its also keeping him very quiet:D.
Right off to make a cuppa then try and do some surveys if i don't get screened out which is a regular theme at the minute:mad:.
Have a good day.0 -
Morning Pennywise, its grey looking here today too but im chancing it :rotfl:!! Checked the BBC weather and it looks like rain hasnt been forecast.
Will DH be buying the TD? I do see your point but with all your washing I dont think theres any getting away from it! Id forgotten I used to get the washing hung over the radiators at night until I re-read it in my diary the other day!
Have a lovely evening of no children, have you got any plans?? xxMummytogirls x0 -
Good morning mummytogirls, OH has offered to buy TD, i think i'm going let him buy it, at the moment i have 2 baskets of wet washing waiting to be dried, if i can't cope now doubt i will cope when back at work all day and unable to nip in and out to put washing out.
No real plans for tonight just chilling at home, probably watch a film and have a couple of drinks, one of the problem of living in the countryside, if you go out you have to pay a fortune for a taxi or one of you has to drive, so we end up staying in and having movie nights with a bottle of wine, or maybe i'm just getting old:rotfl:.0 -
I think your making the right decision on the TD pennywise! If we cant peg out in July and August its only going to get worse isnt it!!
Once I put my heating on il be switching to hanging my clothes over the radiators at night in a bid to keep the electric bill down this year too! Sometimes you just cant avoid using the TD.
Have a good night in tonight then. Tbh in our village no-one seems to go out anymore so its actually a better night staying in :rotfl:!!

Think i will do the same regarding washing on radiators, its so easy to get lazy though and bung everyting into the TD, i can also put clothes on the airer and leave in the same room overnight as woodburner, once we start lighting that again, which probably won't be long the way the weather is.0
