I think you're being daft not doing it!
It'll be a good laugh, and all you have to do is stick to your guns and say NO to any more photos, and just insist on the free one which was promised.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
You've paid £25, you might as well go and do it

when they call to make the appointment say you want to check they do actually include the photo in this £25 since you said that some studios dont. if its not included tell them no way.
As for the credit card.... tell them you dont have one! I would.
And if you think you will be too taken in by the pictures and get in trouble - send your husband to the viewing instead. definitely dont take any form of payment with you
My friends did venture a few months ago and told them upfront there was no way they could afford anything. I wasnt sure it would work come vieiwng day but they said it all went fine and they have a lovely "free" pic of the 3 of them.
In the small print does it say anything about "if you change your mind within x days after being pressurised in sainsbury..."? just a thought.
As for the frame issue - nothing to stop you taking it out of the frame and scanning it in to get more printed off hey?!
And finally, remember the pictures will be stunning, it will be hard to chose one but you can do it! or take someone to help you! xx0 -
I think they do really lovely photos and the one for £25 is a good deal. It's a good tip to take no payment method, your hardest friend or family member, whether OH, Mum or friend, and remember to say the magic word bankrupt if they try and sign you up for credit.0

I would contact trading standards to see if there is anything you can get them for and whether you can back out legally. I know if it was sold in your home you would have seven days to change your mind. Sounds very much like sharp practice to me.0

My friend did this package (she is in Darlington) and she said the session was great fun and altho they encourage you to buy a bunch of photos she chose only the one "free" one and its a really gorgeous pic of the three of them. She said what she did to discourage herself from buying more, she became very critical (Lily looks sad in that one, her vest is showing, she has dribble on her lip, etc).0

The OP has said a couple of times that she is worried she will not be able to resist when she sees the other photos of her family, and will spend money she does not want to spend. To the OP i would say do not go to the session , and chalk to £25 loss down to expereince.I am not a fan of the photos they take, but then I don't really like studio photos of kids and would rather have my quirky, very personal snaps of my babies rolling around in the sand on a fondly remembered family holiday. You dont have to pay hundred of pounds to a company whose main aim is to get into your purse to have lovely snaps that bring back great memories.0

I am like you, not strong when it comes to this sort of thing but believe me when they get you in there and you love all the pics, they start talking about prices afterwards you soon fall out of love with the pics. Go and enjoy the experience, dont take any form of payment with you to the viewing, insist on only the free shot and also when you ring to book it, tell them you dont have a CC.
I have also known places like this to call after 6 months and offer all the photos for £50. They did this with me from my last photo shoot and they said I could either buy all the photos or they would be lost forever so I stuck to my guns and said I couldn't afford their prices, in the end I got them for £50 on a CD with which I have it in writing I can do what I want with.
Also remember if you do do this, even if you buy any of the pics you unfortunately never own the copyright to them, even if they say you do.0
