Complaint to Google

Can anyone please help regarding making a complaint to Google about their Street view images?
I have searched but cannot find an e-mail or address anywhere. I have faxed letters to their London offices but they are totally ignored.
This company seems to be operating behind an "Iron curtain"
Or is there an official department that governs them i can complain to?

What exactly is your complaint? If you want an image of your property redacted from Google Streeview, just go to the image and click "Report a Problem" in the bottom left hand corner. This will give you a contact form where you can report it and I believe they process the requests fairly quickly

If any government department had responsibility it would probably be the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), but it depends whether you're suggesting Google have actually broken any laws?

Thanks, I previously had all images "removed" from street view as i see this as a serious security risk, this was done some 12-18 months ago. I have recently checked it again and all images have now been replaced with new images. I have used the online reporting facility again but some images have only been blurred or no action is being taken by Google for some requests.
The company are totally ignoring the fax i sent them asking why they have replaced the images i previously had removed and their lack of action.
Maybe i need to ring their headquarters in America as my next move!!

For all we know, the images may show a very expensive or desirable car, caravan or motorcycle or other nickable goods.

It might be rare, but it does appear to happen.

Google street view gives thieves the opportunities to check out where lead is and then steal it.

It also gives them the opportunity to check out what houses have alarms, barbed wire etc, and survey the sorrounding areas.

I accept that they can do this by just checking out the area in person, but having it available at their fingertips makes it a lot easier!
