Simply my thoughts nothing more. I don't want to put you on edge more that you already are!
But that might be a good thing! It would mean you are more careful with sending your cashbacks.0 -
Cashback (and other financial incentives to purchase to from a dealer) will not disappear. If the incentives were not there then everyone would purchase direct from network operators and dealers would be redundant.
As feival has already stated, the network operators rely heavily on indirect sales channels. I don't think this will ever change even with the networks increasing their investment in retail outlets. The number of connections made by dealers is just too great.
Cashback deals with free line rental for the duration of the contact will not completely disappear but, as mentioned by HugoSP, it is only the financially savvy dealers who realise you cannot continually promote these offers without either a) denying cashback claims or b) going out of business.
Networks have never been particularly keen on cashback deals, particularly those with free line rental for the duration of the contact. These deals attract the wrong type of customer. The network makes very little revenue and churn increases as the customer cancels at the end of the minimum period and moves elsewhere.
In response, networks have attempted to make service plans better value for money but this can never compete with what is offered as cashback from dealers. If networks started to slash commission paid to dealers then that would definitely shake things up!
As for speculation about Mobileshop and e2save being in financial difficulties, those are probably two of the least likely dealers to go under. Of course, that's just my opinion.
Cheers

My cashback is about to expire and I'm looking for a new deal. 3 are trying to tie me into a £35/month deal and they have no chance.
There's no way I'm ever going to be prepared to pay above £10 per month at max.
Let us know what deal you find!0
