BMW Drivers Handbook

I own a Series 1 BMW and have dipped into the handbook intermittently over the past two years. This covers all BMW cars, both left and right-hand drive, making it tedious and difficult to sift out what I really need to know from the masses of information given. Is there a simple, straighforward handbook available anywhere just for my car?

The first paragraph on the first page is all you need to know.... The part that says "Congratulations, you now own the road!"

I think you will find that the handbook is missing the section on direction indicators and how to operate them too! It wouldn't surprise me if the stalk is not shown on any illustrations either?
    Damn! sb beat me!
Do BMW provide a "brief guide" with their cars? A lot of other manufacturers do.

^^ I thought the indicators used new experimental telepathic technology :o

And you know the Autoparking thing on the Ford Focus? BMW have one that automatically seeks out disabled spaces and parks between them :p

They do the handbook like that because they don't expect anyone to actually read it!

OP: You might get more useful responses if you post some questions about your car, things you can't find in the handbook.

Page 19 tells you how your radar controlled cruise control will position you between 6 and 18 inches from the bumper of the car in front on a busy motorway moving faster than 50mph...

Clearly no one can direct me to what I am looking for - don't bother to continue this thread unless you can. I just hoped there might be a simple series available somewhere.

I have now written to BMW, but don't hold out much hope of a satisfactory reply.

As said above, what information are you looking for? Have you tried using the index?
