These fake PCN "invoices" are as ruinous to your wallet as a 419 Nigerian phishing email so ignore them
  • Was horrified when got home to open a PCN from a company called Parking Eye. Was going right away to pay the £40 fine before I was charged £100 if late. Then I decided to look them up on the internet before dialing their number. I am so glad I googled "Wythenshawe Shopping Centre Public Car Park" and found these posts before I paid my £40 fine immediately. The PCN was for overstaying my 2 hour welcome by 22 min from ParkingEye regarding the above "car park". The pictures are my car but very blurry and could have been taken anywhere? Going to check to see evidence of the "signage" alledgedly "clearly posted at the entrance of the car park". What car park? Is it a side street behind the Forum (as another post indicated)? Don't like not doing the right thing. LOL!

    Hi,

You are doing the right thing cos you came here and avoided a scam! :T

Read the top sticky threads by Crabman:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Look at the letter-chain pics to see typical letters that debt collectors will bombard the registered keeper with (all part of the scam as you owe nothing, it's a fake PCN). If the Parking Eye letter-chain pics are not complete on that top thread, look at other PPCs which use 'Roxburghe' and 'Graham White' letters as I think that's the rubbish firm used by PE. Do not reply to anything, do not give them info about who was driving by thinking an 'appeal' wouldn't hurt (NO!!). :D

And read 'welcome, please read before posting' and watch the Watchdog clip which shows people exactly what to do with a bogus private PCN with a pretty pic of a car on it...finally, please spread the word with friends & family, never to pay a private fake PCN. Only ever take seriously a real ticket from the Police or Council or Transport for London (even then the latter two are appealable with help from forums). :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

yes,, you are doing the riight thing,,quick lesson,, if you recieve a PENALTY charge notice=legit,,its issued by local council/police/traffic warden,,you have to pay this,,,,,,what you have recieved is a PARKING charge notice=not, legit, no legal backing,, its a REQUEST to pay an unenforceable invoice,,its a scam,, loo paper,,what wil happen if you dont pay=NOTHING,,despite all idol/false threats you will recieve,,so IGNORE,, do not contact,,do not worry about threat o grams you recieve on behalf of parking spy/lie,,relax,, chill,,feet up,, enjoy christmas.

This is an unenforceable invoice, an invitation to pay them some money, and then some more when they claim you paid too late for the discounted rate, so ignore them and their threatOgrams.
  • Thanks to all for this revelation regarding PPT. Wow! Big difference in UK than USA (and gradually learning more). Refreshing to be able to stand up to "big business bullies" without getting a smackdown! I am chosing to IGNORE and focus on other important issues like leaving for sun + relaxation in 4 days! Just did not need this hassle or £££££ at this time (or anytime). Thanks again!
  • I have ignored lots of pathetic threatmail from ParkingEye. It always gives me a good laugh and there is not much junkmail that can do that!
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

Could someone tell me if Forum car park is definitely free for 3 hours?

You can park on this forum free for as long as you like. :)

Don't leave site though, and go away and surf on another site while you're still logged into this one. That's a contravention.

You're looking at £60 minimum, or £80 if not paid within 14 days.

Or I get Judges Demand to come round and cease your TV from your house.
