Presumably there will be a few near each other so once you have walked there you would then be able to register with a few. I'm struggling to imagine where you could live in London that the nearest decent agencies would be seven miles away though - London's not that big. If you're in East London, walking to Canary Wharf would allow you to sign up with all the big names. Seven miles really isn't far, especially not in summer - it should take a normally healthy person a couple of hours.
What? The provider is 7 miles away from where I am , not agencies. There are no local agencies that haven't already got my CV. I live near East Ham. It is 9 miles from my house to where my last job was and I don't think I would walk that! It would take 2 hs and 49 mins there and 2 hrs and 49 mins back, that's if I could walk there!! LOL
The agencies that have called me are all in the city area (9miles away) or the west end (walking 3 hrs 30 mins - 11 miles)0 -
Er now my mum lives week to week and I used to give her £300 a mth for my keep and had to stop in April as I ran out of money and she can't afford to lend me £10. We are not in a good way here juggling bills and the like. Even food is a worry.
No agency will register me over the phone and yes I am talking to them over the phone and they have a copy of my CV that I applied for the job with.0 -

yes she gets a small pension and my parents own the house and I was giving her £300 to pay the bills like water, electricity, gas etc and towards my food as well as buying some extra food on top of that. You do not get housing benefit if you own a house !!!
Have you tried applying for HB and CTB, because you were paying rent to your Mum while you were working you might find that you are eligible for HB now you are unemployed.
My brother got HB when he was unemployed and living with our parents because he had always lived there and paid rent before he lost his job.0 -
but YOU don't own the house.

I was told I am not entitled to it as I live with family. That is a fact and all I can say is your brother must have lied!!
Housing Benefit
You can claim Housing Benefit to help pay for your rent if your income and savings are below a certain level. If you're single and aged under 25 you can only get Housing Benefit for bed-sit accommodation or a room in shared accommodation. You cannot get Housing Benefit if you're living with your parents or other close relatives and paying rent to them.
