Well the order arrived this morning, all the fruit & veg looks good again I was surprised that the pineapples are good size ones I was expecting them to be on the small side considering they are only 50p each.
Unfortunately the courier managed to seriously damage a tray of eggs which I suspect was due to the inappropriate way he unloaded my boxes by rolling them over the top of all the other boxes in his van rather than spending a few seconds shifting things out of the way so he could get to my boxes but at least the mess was contained in the bubblewrap & my tray of duck eggs in the other box survived.
Had one substitution but everything else was present (received different mature cheddar to the one I ordered).

    UPDATE:
I emailed them this morning about the broken eggs & received a reply about 15 minutes later with an apology (although that wasn't necessary as it is the courier at fault) & was told that a refund would be issued for them & that this is the first time they have had a report of eggs being damaged in transit.

  • Received my 3rd order today. The quality of the fruit & veg was much, much better this time, &, again, it was beautifully packed & excellent value for money. Will be ordering from them regularly.

My cats now have 3 huge boxes to play in :D

First order arrived this morning - 2 big boxes expertly packed with everything glass bubble wrapped and eggs even individually wrapped in tissue!
Pork steak packs (2 for £5) a bit of a let down as only 3 per pack - I don't think their meat can compete with Tesco or Asda's 3 meat for £10 deal as the 2 mince for £5 was not as much as you get with Asda/ Tesco.
For cleaning products, biscuits, crisps, cakes, pasta, rice & jars its excellent and well worth using
The fruit & veg was gorgeous too!

Will probably use them monthly for stocking up! xx
  • I made my 1st order with them for delivery today.
Nothing has come. I have spent 40 minutes on the phone to City link at a premium rate, after which they hung up on us.
    Utter theivery! Never again!!!!

The 0844 number is not premium rate it's a low call rate number (explained here) in any case 2 alternative landline numbers for parcel tracking are easily available via the http://www.saynoto0870.com website as are regular landline numbers for all the local depots.

If Citylink have lost, damaged or for some other reason failed to deliver your parcel then that would be beyond Rosspa's control so your criticism of them seems harsh & a little early, it would be interesting to hear how they try to resolve the problem though.

Even though i havent ordered from Rosspa, I do order from Approved foods, and there was some bad remarks said about them, regarding delivery not turning up, or dmaged goods etc, this is out of Rosspa's control, they have dispatched your order in good faith, its the courier is at fault here, maybe you should say 'beware of 'courier firm' etc.....

In my experience, if they have put the phone down on you ( which i think you have sais in a thread you have started on this topic.. you attituded must have been below the mark.... I find dealing with people on a stern but coll manners works wonders...and you then get them trying to solve the problem quicker....

Maybe the delivery had been sent to another depot..... which if you were nice, could have been re-directed and delivered to you this morning...

Sorry meant to quote cindyhove..... i was totally agreeing with your comments frugal shopper

  • I had a problem with delivery or non delivery I should say from Approved Foods, I had waited in for the delivery, it didn't turn up so phone AF the next day who informed me there had been a leakage in my shipment and they would resend. I informed the lady on the phone that was no good as most of the stuff I'd ordered had now sold out, she told me I could have a refund or credit to my account which I did, and ordered again once they had something I wanted. All done nice and quickly.

The guy's who have delivered my shopping from Rosspa have offered both times to carry the order into the kitchen because of the weight, nothing but praise for them.

If you have problems just phone the company and explain nice and calmly, aggression gets you nowhere.
