Easyjet taxes?

I recently phoned Easyjet after being 'asked' by the same e-mail to pay £20p.p. extra for a flight from London to Marrakesh, ironically departing in the morning of 1st Feb.
I am sitting tight on this one. If Easyjet "still have not ruled out the idea of putting on our Gordon Brown costumes and walking up and down the aisle on 1 February collecting with a bucket," then I still haven't ruled out turning up at the airport on February 1st with 2,000 1p pieces ;-)What goes around - comes around

You can't pin this one on Easyjet. They are one of the 'greenest' low cost carriers around even going to the extent of recycling the on board rubbish. They fly some of the most modern, fuel efficient aircraft . They havn't made the rules on this one and all this cash goes into Gordon's piggybank. Easyjet have campaigned vigorously against this tax raid from the start. It was have !!!!!! all effect emissions but will help finance whatever Wars we get involved in next.Timmay!0

Hey this is odd -I've got three flights booked in Feb and still haven't been sent an email to ask for this - anyone tried to call them to ask what they are doing - I just got the run around from their call centre and couldn't actually get through to anyone to ask. HAs anyone got a number that gets through to a person rather than just a recorded voice?0

I certainly got through to an extremely nice person on Easyjet's 0151 number (use https://www.saynoto0870.co.uk to find it).
It was the first he had heard of an e-mail, but his supervisor managed to confirm it.What goes around - comes around

12mins waiting ADP paid.
Confirmation received but it only said paid GBP5 not I paid the ADP....
Do you really think they are gonna cancel all those who havent paid the ADP??0 -
aren't we stupid? If you try to book a flight for instance from the UK to Italy both on january and febrary the taxes are £12...thefore they are not collecting that tax. they are just getting our £50

no, i paid £12!!
But try! Go on easyjet, try to book whichever flight from GTW to Italy. Select january dates and febrary dates....always £12!! That occurs even with flight within uk (e.g. london to belfast...always £10 tax!)0
