Yes the beeping noise is to warn you that you haven't taken the face off!

Can this beep be turned off? I have a telemute kit that will cut the power every time a call comes in, problem is everyting you get a call after10 secs the stereo will beep... very annoying!

I got one from Argos Swindon today asking for a viewing first.. Has anybody fit this to a Ford Galaxy? Or know what kind of connectors a Galaxy have?

    Scope,
It seems to vary slightly depending upon the model year, but it seems that you will need a harness adaptor, aerial adaptor and possibly a facia adaptor. You should be able to source them from a local motor factor or Halfrauds.
Some info here at Nexxia to give you an idea.

Now that we have all played with it for a while.. Has anybody been able to disable the beep when you switch off your engine? Its Slightly annoying..

    Mine doesn't do that.

I have it wired so that the permanent 12v connection goes both to the memory lead and the power so that the radio has a permanent power supply.

It means you can have the radio on whether the car ignition is on or not but you have to manually turn it off.

I don't get any beeping though.

I see what you mean.. Just out of interest, does the stereo switch itself off when you switch the engine off - but allows you to switch it back on without the engine on? Or does it stay on until you switch it off? If it is the first I'll consider connecting it permanently, but if you have to switch it off I wont bother.

If both the permanent and switched live wires are wired permanently you'll have to manually switch it off even though the car is off.
