I too got a ticket when I went to the gym - have received Roxburghe letter. What should I do? Staff at gym say I should appeal. After reading this forum my gut instinct is to ignore the letter.
Has anyone else had the Roxburghe letter with final paragraph:-
We are fully aware of ancedotal information being presented via the internet and on various websites and you may well feel this guidance is worth following. ........we would respectively suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31*, and more specifically parts 31.16 and 31.17.
I have not communicated with them.0 -
Just ignore the clowns, the landowner hasn't lost any money by you parking in that car-park when visiting the gym.0

staff at the gym have no idea,,ignore absolutely everything, you will get roxburghe debt collector letters, then from a pretend solicitor called graham white,, just use it as loo paper if you run out or if you have a budgie put it in the bottom of the cage, nothing will/can be done by these scaremongers,(who share the same address/office),, do not worry, do not give it another thought, i have a drawer full of threat-o-grams from them ,continue to ignore and they will go away sooner, they will not take you to court because if they do a)the pope will get married first and b)more importantly they know they will lose,relax.0 -
The letter does say if we do not hear from you within 10 days we will pass matter to our solicitors Graham White, who will review your case for potential legal action.0

All they will do is pass the folder to the next desk in the Portacabin to send out some more lovely loo-paper, this time with "Graham White" written on top instead of "Roxburghe"0

To show the stupidity of these muppets google the relevant parts of the CPR they quote. You will see that they are not relevant to the small claims track. They are merely there to try and intimidate.
At least the "anecdotal information being presented via the internet" is relevant!!0 -
Thanks esmerobbo,
It is reassuring to know that other people have ignored these letters and got on with their life. My other half is a worrier and gets really worked up by these standard intimidating letters.
How do I convince the other half to 'get on with life'?0 -
tell him to read this forum, roxburghe and graham white, you cannot be serious,to coin a famous phrase,,both companies, muppets, will threaten the world and cannot and will not do anything, but get your hard earned cash, relax, glass of wine, watch the dynamo on tv,chill,,,oh,,ignore absolutely everything in the form of a theat-o-gram.0

Have you seen the episode of Only Fools and Horses were Rodney dreams of the future and Damien rules the world? They have uncle Albert connected to a cryogenic machine in a cupboard. Every time I see or hear Graham Whites name I cant help thinking Roxburghe have him stored like this. Then when needed they wheel him out to press the autosign key on the PC!0

I received today 'Notice of intended litigation'. It goes on to say our client has instructed us to recover the total amount due.
..... continues with ....' Any judegement registered against you could seriously affect chances of obtaining credit in the future'.
..... In the event of a judgement order not been adhered to, we may seek a warrant of execution. This would allow a Baliff to attend at your address'....
I have not communicated with them whatsoever.0
