Parking Eye - Penalty Charge Notice

Hello Everyone,
I forgot to sign my car in at my local gym recently and have been issued a PCN.
I have read a few of your forums regarding unfair penalty charges from parking eye and just wanted to confirm whether i need to pay the charge received.
It says on 7th July vehicle ******** entered the fitness first Romford car park (I am a member of this gym) at 20.25 and departed at 21.20.
The signage which is clearly displayed at the entrance and throughout the car park states that this is a permit holder/ authorised vehicle only car par and also details other conditions for which those who enter the car park agree to be bound by.
By failing to hold a valid permit and in accordance with the terms and conditions that were agreed to upon entering the car park, these were breached and therefore the parking charge detailed below is immediately payable.
I have spoke to my gym and they said i need to appeal first before they can prove i was there at the time and forgot to sign my car in.
Your feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ben

Do not appeal, there is NO appeal it is a scam.
Just ignore the ticket and Ignore all the "silly letters" they will send they are all complete bull$hit.
What you do do is attend your Gym and ask to speak with the owner, inform them that due to been harassed by a fake parking ticket whilst paying for a service you will not be using the gym again and do so.
Only when these business start loosing customers will they stop taking a "share" of these fake parking fine scams from customers.
It is the Gyms way of telling you they do not want your money.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Does it actually say "penalty charge notice", or are you assuming that PCN means that , when it actually means "parking charge notice".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hi, I too received a PCN for staying over 1.5 hours at an Aldi car park in Manchester. I was a visitor to the store that day and stayed for 2 hours & 6 minutes.
Before reading these forum posts I wrote back to the organisation stating that I was there with permission to be there from the Aldi store and enclosed a copy of the letter from Aldi. I did this the day after receiving the PCN and sent it first class. I have not yet received a response to my letter but I have had a reminder about the PCN. By writing to them I know I have acknowledged that I was the driver. Do I now have to pay them? Today is the last day od the 'reduced' rate of £60. It then goes up to £90. Thanks0 -

I got one four months ago, 100% ignored it. Just received their "You've not paid, now it's £145" letter. Still ignoring mine. Mine wasn't parking eye, just MBC. Same scam, different cowboys.0

A friend of ours got a ticket from these cowboys too, many months ago. The charges gradually crept up with each letter he received (and ignored). The last letter had the charges now up to around £260, but if he responded immediately, he could pay the original charge of £60!!! Needless to say, he is still just laughing and ignoring them.
We had one too, again from Aldi carpark. Each letter has been erm, 'filed' and we haven't heard from them now for about 3 months.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Hi all,
I have since received another letter saying that I need to provide further evidence of proof of employment, work carried out on the day in question. It is unlikely that I will be able to do that. Shall I continue to ignore? What will actually happen?0 -

Who do these people think they are? They are not the police, the council or any official body. They are just a bunch of private citizens with no more right than you or I to ask these sorts of questions. Just keep ignoring these clowns. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

You've told them the invoice is invalid because you had permission from the landowner. End of. If you contact them again, you'll waste your own time and there's a very high chance they'll just make up some loophole to do with whatever you send them and reject your 'appeal.'
You'll be glad to know Parking Eye have been kicked off that land anyway. Unfortunately Highview have taken their place!0
