Good Morning All,
Hope everyone is feeling positive this morning, particularly Bitsy and NMP and ((((hugs for anyone else))) who wants or needs one
Welcome Always a Buzy Bee. Love your name.
Went out for a meal last night which was lovely but DH annoyed me. I had opted to drive (saving money on taxis) and as usual when he has had a drink he thinks he knows it all. We are having a recurring argument just now about money. He thinks we need to up our income and I think we need to reduce our outgoings. We are both right I suppose but he just doesn't get every penny saved will help. He thinks unless you are saving hundreds it doesn't make a difference:mad: then to top it all he couldn't find his money this morning, have searchd high and low and finally found it in his trousers from last night:mad::mad::mad: ok rant over and breathe
I am making a curry tonight for 7 as my DIL to be brother is 18 today and he is visiting from Oz and although he will be going out with friends later to celebrate I felt like he should have a birthday tea so we will have a cake as well. I know if it was my son in Australia his mum would do the same as she has a lovely family:)
Will nip to Mr T's today as DS needs some bits and bobs for their travels round europe.
Not much money saving going on around here at the minute but am determined it will be.
Have a Happy Tuesday whatever your up to J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all,
Bright day here at last :j have got a small wash on the go, and will hang it out, bet we get more rain later though, my conservatory looks like a laundry atm, with washing drapped all over, so will get that put away today.
Busy day today, need to do an online shop, do house insurance online, a bit of office work, housework, and the usual washing etc, dd can do dinner, cheesy bean pie with sausages and brocoli.
I also need to be at mums at 11 for a meeting with the social workers about dads care, he only has 2 hours per day three days a week, which is now not enough, they are pushing us to put him in a home, which will cost at least £650 a week, atm they give mum £120 per week for his care, seems madness to me, if they would only put his allowance up a bit, it would still save them money
Made 17 jars of plum and bramley chutney yesterday, the bottom of the pan caught and is a bit burntany ideas for getting it off ?? have tried the washing powder overnight thing, its my mums pan too
:rotfl:
Hugs to all in need, have good days all xxxx0 -
Morning All,
I am posting from work, got here 45mins early today, so am having a wee browse before I get started. I had to take OH to work, and it wasn't worth the miles to go home first. His MOT has expired now, and he will hopefully getting another car this morning, which is less than fixing his would have cost. Isn't that mad.? Someone is coming to pick his up tonight for £100, he has stripped the bulbs and will take the good tyres off it tonight, too.
The kids stayed at MILs last night, and will spend the day today, dinner tonight will be Dominos for a treat as their last meal before the family go back to Switzerland, so not much OS again
Hugs all round, and hi fives and spoons, especially for Molly. xx

Morning all!
I have killed my phone! Soaked it accidentally....have dried it out but the buttons aren't working .:o Today the clean up will continue, bathroom is finished other than the floor which OH will fit once I conquer the dust. Kitchen still to be finished, they ran out of tiles and have had to order them, hopefully tiling finished tomorrow then the grouting, cleaning and floor and I will finally get the boxes of dishes etc out of every other room! I am craving a real meal, OH has requested mince and tatties tonight, so will need to hunt the pots!RIP Iain

Morning all:j
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments yesterday. It really does help and I am so lucky to have my friends on here:A
Cleaned entire house yesterday and am now working through the washing and will get that ironed later.
Also trying to plan out the hols for DS week by week;).
Hester i hope you dont get too much hassle today:o Some people take the p dont they.
Redruby hope the meeting goes well. Is your mum claiming everything she can? If they are getting Attendance allowance is your mum claiming carers allowance too? Councils just seem to want everyone who has care needs shoved in a care home these days:mad:. For people like your dad it is kinder and more beneficial for him to be in his own surroundings for as long as possible. I hope they listen to you and get your poor mum more help x0 -
Morning All
I have just done some weeding - had to get it done quickly because more rain is forecast, but it is so easy when the ground is wet.
DH had to go to the doctors again today because he was bitten by a bug while we were at the barbecue on Saturday and his leg is now very red, swollen and infected so the doctor has put him on yet more antibiotics ( He has a bad reaction to all insect bites and stings )
DS will be home from school at 12pm because he has free periods all afternoon, he is looking forward to leaving on Thursday. I am a little upset that he won't be doing his chemistry A2 ( The school won't allow students to do only one subject  )but hopefully he may be able to find an evening class to do it there.
He starts college in September :j
Well what dya know the sun is coming out so I am off to do some more in the garden
Have good days all ((((((Hugs))))) to all in need of one .........help yourselves especially Lou who is still very down bless her x

Thankyou for your support. Im feeling positive because I do know that there is the potential for a permanent fix but it will be down to funding. Here's hoping xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
