Nor am I. I find shop bought prawn sandwiches are usually tasteless and the bread's always soggy. Cheap prawns + cheap mayo + cheap bread. Or should I say cheap bread + too much cheap mayo + the occasional cheap prawn.0 -
Sale of Goods Act: Where the seller sells goods in the course of a business, there is an implied term that the goods supplied under the contract are of satisfactory quality. For the purposes of this Act, goods are of satisfactory quality if they meet the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking account of any description of the goods, the price (if relevant) and all the other relevant circumstances.
You almost certainly would have a claim that the sandwich was not satisfactory quality. Did you eat the evidence?0 -

I would estimate that only 1/4 of the sandwich had chicken on it, and that was a very fine layer!
The law is different for catering establishments which sell their own sandwiches. Any description must not be misleading, eg if the 'chicken' was 'reformed' then that would have to be stated. Apart from irradiated or GM ingredients there is no requirement to list ingredients or quantities.
For sandwiches which are prepared by manufacturers, then they must be labelled with A name or description which is subject to controls, a list of ingredients, and a % declaration (QUID) for ingredients listed in the name of the sandwich.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I ate a 1/3 of the evidence and through the rest away. Bread an lettuce isn't nice lol
Thank you for that, it's what I was looking for. I assume others would agree that it wasn't of satisfactory quality (hopefully)I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
confession time....
Years ago I worked in a 'catering establishment' briefly as a favour to a friend when they were short staffed. I was shown how to make sandwiches, specifically how to put the cucumber and meat near to the edges to make it look full when in reality there was little else between the bread!!!0 -
After seeing that picture i wont ever buy a sandwich from greggs from this point forward. Is there not a boots or a supermarket nearby or even a sandwich van that visits or could someone see if 1 could visit. Ive eaten sandwiches from morrisons and sainsburys and i cant say they have been short on the filling, even bought some from a sarnie van and they were full to bursting with the filling.0

I went to Greggs and got a Chicken Club ovel Bite. This consists of salsa, bed of lettuce, tomato, bacon and a chicken mayo spread.
Did the sandwich have salsa, lettuce, tomato, bacon and chicken mayo spread?
if so they have provided what they stated0 -

ah, but if you look at it in such simplistic terms i could say...........advertise a prawn may sandwich which has one single prawn in it. That would be as described but i don't think you would be to happyI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. I bought a chicken fajita wrap from Asda last week. The first half was beautiful, nice amount of everything, really tasty.
The second half was lettuce, pepper and salsa. Not a jot of chicken. I was gutted, but I was hungry, so I ate the evidence
Unfortunately, I won't be buying another one.
A few months back, Tesco were selling gorgeous Chicken Tikka wraps. It was only a 'limited edition' though, which is cack because I've been wanting more!0 -
Open it up in the shop and if it's rubbish ask them to rectify it.0
