Odd question i know so let me explain.
I went to Greggs and got a Chicken Club ovel Bite. This consists of salsa, bed of lettuce, tomato, bacon and a chicken mayo spread.
Upon opening my sandwich once back at the office there was little more than a teaspoon of the chicken spread on the sandwich and had been smeared at the front to obviously make it look full.
Now, one makes an assumption that a sandwich filling would be all over lol but do you think that by smearing the chicken at the front they are in some way/shape/form misselling the sandwich? I would estimate that only 1/4 of the sandwich had chicken on it, and that was a very fine layer!
Have emailed greggs moaning as at the end of the day I was flipping hungry and £2.05 for that was a waste. Just wanted to look at it from a consumer law point of view.
Any ideas:D

I think if you were to open most pre-packed sandwiches you'd find that most of the filling is located where it is most visible.
It's a decades-old trick that probably isn't worth getting too wound up over.0 -
I suppose that unless they put the weight of each ingredient on the package, they can put as little or as much as they like.0

This my favourite Greggs sandwich and admitedly the chicken is put on after everything else so it probably does only fill 1/4 of the whole sandwich, but mine always have about a tablespoon in and that's plenty.
Maybe the person making them at your store was being stingy....but I certainly have no complaints.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
Although i agree this is a know trick, i feel this was extra mean lol

Good Lord...that looks disgusting!
I have to be honest though, I think as a previous poster mentioned, you may have just been unlucky with whoever made it.
In my local Greggs, the rolls are left half open so you can see whats in them. You have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0 -
Not sure I'd be bothered about consumer law but why not print off the pic and take it back to gregs tomorrow and see what they say. Worst that can happen is they laugh at you!0

I emailed it off to customer service
At the end of the day i want an edible sandwich which hasn't been prepared to lure me into believing it's nice and juicy when they have strategically placed the chicken and the rest of the sandwich is naked
