We've had some good bargains over the years, but this time Next seems to be full (and I mean rack after rack) of black or white padded coats, with not much else.0

i usually like the christmas sale most of all, but i too was disappointed and i usually spend a couple of hundred pounds, but this year i didnt spend anyway near that, i did witness an argument in the store when someone was trying to queue jump, the sales assistant was giving it some. i must admit i got most online with the sale code. i am sorry if i offend someone here but i cannot understand why people take pushchairs to these sales, at 5am in the morning, i have 3 children one of which is a 9 month old and wouldnt dream of trying to get around with him (it's a nightmare when i am trying to look on my own), i understand if perhaps people cant get someone to look after the kids but why not wait to a more reasonable hour? my husband also witnessed that the alarms at the door would not stop so some guy grabbed two tops stuffed them under his coat and walk out. i prefer it when it is later in the day or the following day of the sale it's usually a lot quieter and you can have a good rummage.

nilsr, you are not alone in that thought. I would never take my daughter to the sales, especially Next. Its complete bedlam and not safe for a little'un in a buggy. If I can't get someone to look after her for a few hours I don't go.
I did brave Oxford Street on the 27th only three weeks after having a foot operation though! Having a crutch is great, people were generally helpful and mindful of the stick and my poorly foot. I didn't go anywhere to crazy though. Just River Island, New Look, H&M and Accessorize. We poked our heads into Next but no way were we stepping into that.
Pulpit, what happened to your friend? Did she have to go home shoeless? Some people really take the biscuit."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0
