the next sale

i was very very disappointed with the next sale this year. last year i managed to buy loads for the moo but this year nothing in the size 12-18 months.

anyone else find the sale disappointing this year?

I avoid the next sale like I would the plague!! Horrible nasty scary place, giant jumble sale with loads of rude people and sharp elbows lol

tell me about it. i was crouching down (having popped chops' buggy out of the way and not just abandoned like other parents had done thus blocking the aisles) and this woman behind me was almost climbing my back to get at the shelf above. i asked if she would like a piggy back. she just glared at me.

I found it disappointing - hardly anything in girls 2-3 years. I went at 9.30am - and it was still busy, even though Next had been open since 5am!

I got a couple of bits, but wasn't expecting much since their stuff wasn't that great when it was full price!

Mind you, think that's where they had the Ikea riots a year or so ago - may be a good place to unload your genuine Rembrandts for £50 a pop...

I ordered last week with the code posted on here before the sale began and got it delivered without having to brave the shops , and delivered before christmas :j

Same here Deanos (nice name, same is my sons lol), lots of bits in 18-24 months and 2-3 online at the time( daughter is petite so got some bits in each size).

I did brave the Next sale in 2002, queueing up at half four in morning, store opened at 6am, was 7th in queue, then some cheeky gits milling round the entrance pretending to look inside pushed in when the store opened!! Was a mad scramble,just grabbed items off the rails in my sons size, the stood in a corner and chose the nice items and put back the dregs, paid for items, no one queueing at tills, then upstairs to menswear and got the other half two jackets, so four large carrier bags full and still had change from £200, alas nothing for me though!!

Never again, will do it all online.

I never understood the Next sale ... all they do is mark the clothes down to the sort of prices one can buy clothes at elsewhere (usually of equal or better quality). You are right though ... there is something particularly nasty about Next bargain hunters .. some of the most obnoxious and ignorant people I have ever come across.
