I havent signed anything yet re UW. It is a quote so far nothing agreed. I need dual fuel now and telephone & broadband - I am not bothered about television - in fact I might ditch the tv altogether. It won't be as though I don't have other forms of entertainment - I have about 20 DVDs that I have never watched, a similar number of books and my CDs only get played in the car.

I was hoping for an NSD today but I need milk and I need to sort out my car windscreen so I shall be off to the hardware shop for some meths (to clean inside and out to get rid of the greasy marks) - it is cheaper in the hardware shop than the car spares place.

I had a bit of a sort out last night and found a load of bed linen that I had forgotten I had got including a duvet cover...nothing for a single bed though.

Dinner will be a sausage casserole - as the sausages are out of the freezer already.

Grrr - there are times when I can be sooo stupid that my stupidity amazes me:mad: I wasnt thinking straight when I sent off my divorce papers to the court including the fee remission and my marriage certificate instead of getting the bus to town and phsycially taking them to the court, I bunged them all in an envelope and put a first class stamp on (stupidly used a large envelope and a bog standard stamp). I rang the court today and they have never received my papers and told that if insufficient postage was on them then they wouldn't be accepted anyway and would go to the sorting office (no idea which one and Royal Mail just give you an automated service to listen to). Dumbo here never put her address on the outside of the envelope either, nor thought to send it recorded delivery:(

Now I have to do everything again - apply for a proof of benefits letter (this means an 8am phone call because it is the only time you can get through to the benefits folks) because only an original letter will be accepted by the court) and I have just phoned the robdogs at the registry office - it costs £9 to produce a new marriage certificate and 25p first class postage but if I had wanted it sent recorded delivery then it would have cost £9 plus £5.50 (you know and I know that first class recorded doesnt cost that much). I opted for the cheaper £9.25 option.

The court told me that they do a turn around on divorces in 5-7 working days (will I ever be rid of him?). I think that next time I will take the papers to the court personally that way I can be sure that they will have been delivered. I have no way ot retrieving the items sent originally...sob.

I had a thoroughly lazy day yesterday and didnt do much, I picked up a book to read at around 9.15am and finished it by around 5pm. Spoke to Mum on Saturday afternoon and it was decided that as I was a bit sniffly then I would not visit yesterday. Mum is worried that I do not like the house because I haven't said anything about it other than to say thanks for putting in an offer and repeatedly saying that I love the house and will be very safe there - dunno what I am supposed to do other than that?

I mentioned the garden to her and her response was stuff the garden the house needs decorating..I do have £40 of B&Q vouchers on their way to me and this should be enough for a few gallons of brilliant white gloss paint and some matt white paint (I am going for the minimalist look). I can live with the wallpaper for a while and don't feel the need to change it just yet. Must remember to buy some Harris paintbrushes (unless dad has any that I can scrounge) - a good Harris brush will last for years.

hate liars the divorce court had my papers and had sent them back including the marriage certificate because there are things that I had omitted...all because I havent used a solicitor.. Just had to ring up the registry office to cancel the order for a replacement certificate.

I had a dizzy spell so went and had a tablet and sat down in front of the telly with a mug of coffee.

I will look at the rest of the forms in a while having re-done some of them because I misunderstood the form and thought that certain questions did not relate to me. They are narky that the respondent address does not exactly match that on our marriage certificate - I didnt know it had to:( I had added Bearwood to the address because this is where we lived and Bearwood is a district of Smethwick. Oh well such is life - it seems that I also forgot to put the date that I left - I think it was in September 2007 right when I was staying with a friend in London to try and get myself well again after the dreadful year at the Uni.

I need to do the application form for the job that I saw on the college website - I want this job..it will be a doddle but just what I need right now.

Up and at 'em this morning - need to go to the bank to get some cash out which is needed for tonight and tomorrow, my lunch appointment has postponed until tomorrow - which is good and it means that I can nip to Lidl to see if they have a toilet roll offer as I am using my last loo roll:eek:

I have had another look at the divorce papers - it seems that I wrote that I got married at the Register Office Bromsgrove in the County of Hereford & Worcester which is what I thought I should write because I copied it from the marriage certificate - maybe I was supposed to just put Bromsgrove...they are being pedantic. I think that I will have another look at the divorce section on the Direct gov website and add lump sum and property to the form. Trying to speak to him is impossible because he fails to answer the phone and he never calls me...a case of out of sight out of mind as usual. Oh how I wish I had listened to my mum on my wedding day when she said that it wasnt too late to back out and that we could have a party to celebrate...

    Brrrr...it is cold today.

I nipped out to the bank earlier and did a good deed for the day - I found a child's dolly outside the local LA Fitness so picked her up and took her inside saying that I had found it on the carpark (it was as near as damnit). A quick trip to the cashpoint followed by a long walk to Morrisons - needed eggs, milk etc. I will be so glad when I move closer as it will take me 10 mins at most to walk there (hark at me - I don't even like Morrisons). I know that in 2013 there will be a ginormous Sainsbury's opening (they are currently digging holes and shifting earth around to prepare for it).

I keep picking up the divorce papers and putting them down again - it is the cold, I blame that...I will do them and submit them this week.

Had quite a good night last night - didnt have to pay for dinner either which was a bonus so £10 saved, someone gave me £2 to buy a drink with but I didnt so kept the money and it has gone into the pot to go into my credit union account..I have £11 to add:cool:

Had fabby meeting today which may turn into a possible business venture to run alongside what I do now and any fulltime job I might get. Quotes are all favourable.. however, I am not jumping into this venture until I have done all my homework which includes a trip to an annual meeting so that I can find out more and ask more questions.

Today I discovered that Costa coffee is vile - more bitter than a bitter thing. Thank goodness I had a small macchiatto (think espresso sized cup) - that tiny cup was enough for me. Nipped into Lidl and came out with 24 cushelle loo rolls for £9.99 which works out much cheaper than buying 2 packs of 9 rolls.

I know I said that I wouldnt spend more money on the house but I wanted to kill a bit of time so wandered into Wilkinsons and wandered out with 6 packs of seeds which were on 3for2 - now I have some annuals and biennials for my new garden. Poundland seem to have good offers on seeds, shrubs and bulbs but this time I managed not to dip into my purse.

Need to finish the divorce papers - the lady who wanted to do my divorce for £3K has offered to have a look at my papers before I resubmit them (a free look) although I am not sure that I will to be honest. Need to complete the application form for the college and drop it off.

My frog for today was cleaning my makeup brushes which haven't been cleaned for months.

What a morning..plus my blepharitis is back and I am sure that it is stress related.

I have spent a large amount of time on the phone and have now switched electricity supplier in my flat to UW as their bills are less saving me £11.00 a month. I had toyed with the idea of changing one of my mobiles (i have 2) to UW but it seems that there is a problem because I cannot use a credit card to pay 1p - I have explained that I am unable to use my credit cards at all (skintyness sucks). Now the suggestion is that I pay £10 for a SIM card which will give me 500 mins and 500 texts and pay a bill for 3 months before I will be allowed to change my phone. Yes, it will save me money but I won't be painted into a corner and that is how I have felt this morning so for the time being I am staying with my Virgin contract which costs me more. This might not make sense but I am trying to sort myself out and like to make my own decisions as opposed to being coerced. I may even ditch the phone altogether and just keep my general mobile that I use for personal stuff which is on mate's rates - sometimes I pay nowt and sometimes the most I pay is £20.

So far I have washed up, eaten and made some lunch - stressed, done a lot of traipsing up and down stairs to look in meter cupboards - it would appear that my electricity supplier did not put my address on the national database but that is now sorted and my electricity bill be reduced.

Yesterday I saved £1.52 on seeds.
