Got up late but I am not sleeping properly as I keep having vivid nightmares and have only been having them since I have been on the new eye drops. I will ring the hospital tomorrow.

I have made some enquiries about work placements and I need to drop a CV off to one place on Monday. In other news I have an interview to look forward to in the New Year.

Rang mum tonight and she is going to give me the extra £40 towards my new snow boots and I can put that money back into the bank. Dad wasn't well at all yesterday and spent most of the day in bed. Mum was sorting out her Christmas tree when I rang her - I rang later than usual because both of us had settled down to watch the Great Garden Revival and when that is on neither of us will be disturbed.

Mum is over the moon that I will have more distinctions winging their way to me and I told her about the maths exam and how I spent the whole of Monday doing maths until I had gotten a headache. I have never had 90% for a maths exam before and nor have I had 83.3% for a maths exam either (this was an exam in two parts) - I am chuffed because I do not find maths easy at all.

I missed a call from college today and only picked up the message at around 6pm - all about work placements. I happened to be out this morning as I went to the bank and took a sneaky route which meant going down a cut through - this takes a fair bit of time off my journey into the village. This afternoon, I emailed the Principal of the college to make him aware of the problems that he has. I know I have spoken to my case worker but I felt that her hands were tied somewhat and that I had to take the bull by the horns and address the issues that I have.

    Tomorrow I plan to bake.

Not posted much as being busy doing stuff.

I have an interview on 6 Jan so fingers crossed. I failed an exam twice at college which were so simple too:mad: I put it down to being asked to switch computers because they had allocated that desk to someone else and I had to contend with a noisy classroom when all my other exams have been conducted in quiet rooms.

Christmas was spent at my parents which was nice but it was awful to see the change in dad - apparently he sleeps more and does even less now. Maybe the time of his passing is drawing near?

Feeling grumpy today, I was invited into a neighbours house to see his new kitchen extension and got jumped up at by one of his dogs, this animal consistently jumped up and his owner said nowt although he did put him out in the garden in the end. He kept saying the dog had sharp claws which I am not surprised at because the animal rarely gets walked but now I have huge wheals down my legs from being clawed.

I had to go to the post office sorting office to pay for some postage so handed over £1.50 only to discover it was the smallest Christmas card imaginable from someone on MSE! I would rather have spent that £1.50 on something useful.

I have been neglecting this diary but then I am battling against an almighty chest infection, it came upon me on 27 December and as a last resort I called the doctor out on Friday and he has given me some antibiotics.

I was due to have an interview today but felt unable to attend so I rang and they have pushed it back until Wednesday. I hope to be feeling a lot better by then and will at least travel there by car so that I am not hanging about at cold bus stops. My parents were going to pay for a taxi but I got a quote today and one way would cost over £30:eek: It will be cheaper to take the car and pay for parking although I don't particularly fancy driving all that way.

I have barely eaten and my new year's eve was spent chucking up the dinner I had eaten earlier that day. I have been in a sorry old state. I have tried to be money saving but needed some groceries so resorted to doing an online shop - needless to say I won't need to buy anything for the rest of the month. I ventured to the chemist on Friday to pick up my prescription and I nipped out into my garden today because I thought I had a dead creature on the lawn but it was a plant that had been dug up by something or other.

Mum is worried and has offered to do washing for me etc but I have told her to stay away as I do not want her getting this lurgy and god forbid dad getting it. Mum was quite cross that I had ventured out to take my prescription and get it filled but what was I supposed to do?

My legs are still black and blue from that ruddy dog too.

Unfortunately I was unable to add the interview - my chest is no better although I am starting to feel a bit better in myself. I have asked that I still be considered should they not employ anyone from their recent interviews so we shall wait and see.

I got up at midday and admittedly did go out for some fresh air as mum had sent me a wedding card for me to send to my cousin who is getting married soon, I needed to post it. I have had the window in my bedroom open all afternoon in an attempt to get some fresh air in and some germs out.

Not checked in for a while - I have been quite poorly and when I managed to get to see my GP at the surgery he signed me off from 6 Jan through to 27 Jan. I have had two lots of antibiotics and seem to live covered almost from head to toe in Vicks:eek: I had a blood test on Tuesday and I will get the results on Monday afternoon - it was a test to see if I have whooping cough for the umpteenth time:mad:

I have barely been out and when I have instead of walking I have gone out in the car because I am so exhausted.

I have been doing a lot of sleeping which is helping.

I am totally confused - I rang for my blood test results today and was told that I was negative for Rubella, I should hope that I am considering I had the disease as a child followed by a jab when I was at high school. Why were they testing for Rubella? I could have told them that I hadn't got that - anyway as I am perturbed by this seemingly waste of good blood from my arm I have an appointment booked at the doctors for Friday (the only day I could get).

Still feeling a bit snotty and coughy and have decided that if the weather is fine tomorrow then I might just go out for a little walk for fresh air.

Heard a knock on the door earlier (why don't people use the door bell?) so I went downstairs and there was nobody about but when I was drawing the curtains I heard the knock again - it was a guy with no ID asking if I was the homeowner so I said I wasn't (not a lie) and he tried shoving a piece of paper at me at which point I said I wasn't interested and would only chuck the leaflet in the bin. It was all rather odd as there seemed to be a gang of chaps going to houses asking questions.

Tomorrow, I might make a start on putting the Christmas decorations away (they were taken down in good time but I was too ill to put them away), they are making the house look untidy. I found myself vaccing last night at around midnight - thankfully my vac is quiet and does not disturb the neighbours.

Feeling meh. I went to see my GP on Friday and he apologised for the blood test and the wrong test being done, he chased it up for me because he had asked about whooping cough. He had a look down my throat and he told me that it was red raw (it does not feel sore) and as I still have the cough then I am not fit to go to college. If I do have whooping cough which is highly likely, then it is a notifiable disease these days and he has to notify the relevant health bodies. I rang the college when I got home (I came home via the supermarket as I needed some provisions) to be told that as I had been off for over 3 weeks that they would contact me on Monday to give me my end date and that I must contact the jobcentre to sign back on.

I can go back for job search - they will at least let me stay for a day rather than go in for an hour a week because I need to refresh my memory with regard to the Access exam that I need to re-take. Going for an hour a week is madness really and they should offer a bit more support. I had a grumble about wanting to do some exams at a higher level but was told I was too late - so I made a point of saying that I had been asking for months but was constantly told that they were too hard (er let me be the judge of that).

Got a bit scared earlier, we had a terrific thunderstorm which meant that my laptop went off quicker than anything and I went downstairs and huddled up on the sofa. We had hail too - so much that the ground was white.

I wish I could get rid of this lurgy, I am getting really frustrated with it.

Whilst at the supermarket I spent £1.20 on a bunch of English daffs which smell divine and I decided to buy a crème egg (gosh they are small these days) but it wouldn't scan so I was told I could have it for free:T - I won't be having another because Cadbury's have changed the recipe and they are now vile.
