Hi guys
Hope everyone is having a better week than me. Rubbish.
sibles - it's entirely up to you how you budget. My view is, something like your driving lesson is going to cost that set amount whatever. So whether you include it in your weekly spend is really of no consequence. HOWEVER if it was something like "a new pair of shoes for work" you could easily end up confronted with a range of prices, and that is where a set budget would come in, such as " I will spend no more than £30 on my new work shoes as I should get something of decent quality for that price, and I will have to shop around"
As I said, up to you, but that's my logic and how I do it
So, my totals for week so far:
17/7 £3.95
18/7 £15.00
19/7 £7.50
20/7 £1.87
21/7 £6.65
Total so far: £34.97
Expensive week.
Although somewhat against the grain (as I'm highly out of favour at work at the moment!) my boss is buying my Starbucks tomorrow! I go every (or most) Friday as some of you know, and get for other people as well as me, and boss asked today if I'm going tomorrow - we're moving offices so busy week, and hellish - and I said no and had to be quite quiet as I said "I'm broke due to my car" - slight lie but hey ho, it's certainly a factor! - and she said if I go she'll pay for mine! RESULT! :T Only I'm paying first so then have to do trip to post office to pay my account back at some point as I don't have enough cash left... grrrrr.

Hi everyone!
I'm going to declare early as I'm off on holiday for a week tomorrow, leaving very early (5/6am!), and have a lot still to organise tonight. So I probably won't have time to come back later to make my final declaration
So I've had a bit of a disastrous week.....yesterday the book people came round at work and had a lovely Peter Rabbit "baby's first year" book for just a fiver (RRP £14.99). My sister is due her 2nd baby on Sept 22 so I just had to buy that... Also had a couple of collections at work that I've had to put in for, and a stressful couple of days meant I thought "stuff the budget" for a bit
Anyway, taking all that into account (and finally paying my friend back later tonight for the £20 I owe), my total spend for this week is £60.52/£50.
Not great, but not as bad as I was expecting!!
As I said I'm off on holiday tomorrow, returning next Friday and then off to a wedding next Saturday! So I think I'll skip the budgeting for this week. Although hoping to stay as close to £100 as possible.....that won't work though I'm sure!
Have a great week everyone, and I'll catch up with you all when I'm back from holiday

Hi guys
I'm cream crackered! We moved offices finally today, and I've been shifting desks and chairs into thevan, unloading, running around, trying to organise... back in tomorrow to finish off and get it looking like a workplace for Monday! Annoyingly they didn't hire a removal company, just a van so we had to shift a 35 person office ourselves. It's been a very busy week! And also my back is a bit achey even though I was trying to go careful...grr!
Anyway... katie, enjoy your holiday and meersy enjoy your wine!
I'm overbudget
As always
-not sure if it's my budgeting that's wrong or if I'm out of control... I think it's a bit of both as when I do my budget for the week, I don't allow for cigs (which is silly as I'm failing massively at quitting right now!) and I don't allow for if I go for a drink either, which I suppose would average once a week. Need to think about this more.
17/7 £3.95
18/7 £15.00
19/7 £7.50
20/7 £1.87
21/7 £6.65
22/7 £15.25
Total: £50.22/£35
Next week is a big one for me - payday Friday and big work night out to look forward to. Until payday I'm pretty skint, about £15. However I've got a payment due into my account so I may have some extra but it'll be later in the week I think. Till then or living off stores, which would be fine except I have virtually no veg and already feel like I'm developing scurvy
Will update on Saturday (depending on how knackered i am after Day 2 of "The Big Move") or Sunday!

Morning all
I am a bit behind the times as I've had a busy week but in a good way for once. Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. I went to London for the weekend and got back late last night. Since I was a kid (and I saw it on Jim'll Fix It) I have wanted to visit all the place on the Monopoly board. So that is what I did on Friday with the help of my wonderful boyfriend. Gees it took us 9 hours but we got it all done, was a very tiring day but I had lots of fun.
So now back to reality but got a few things planned for today so I am not back on the budgetting wagon until Monday.:o
