Blimey - that'd have to be a very very serious arrest/case to have the hours trying to do that.

If I had more time now I'd see .... in the meantime, I have to go out, but here is ....

    NP Challenge

By midnight tonight ..... I want you to come up with a good story and alibi (evidence if possible) of where you were between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday 9th January 2008.

    :)

Let's see how many secret murderers we're harbouring here..... those without an alibi!

I was at work until about 7.30-8pm and then went to the pub called The Two Chairmen with a bloke called James.

I went from work to the pub with James so at least one person can vouch for me at all times.

I was home took DS2 to his guitar lesson at 7pm and collected him at 7.30. OH would have arrived home at 7.30 ish and then we were all home for the evening. Boys were 17 & 13 so old enough to provide alibi as would OH.

Isn't it a given that OHs provide alibis when required? Isn't that why they are untrustworthy witnesses?

So the question is would you lie for your OH and would you expect them to lie for you?

I seem to remember my full grant was 2100pa and my halls were definitely a fair bit less than that - 3 termly payments of maybe 400 quid?-but then the terms were only 8 weeks long.

The difference between then and now. Now, even on the max grant and taking the full student loan, the hall fees wouldn't be covered.

No. It's a difficult time to prove where you are, Dh might have left the office and be wandering in what he thinks is the direction of home but in truth is likely to be a scenic route unintentionally. But wouldn't need to prove anything, and if I did then he should take responsibility for it.

I don't know where I was and what I was doing. It may have been me what done it.
  • Dunno, but he's a mincing weirdo who gets people to take off their clothes then he keeps touching them up ..... and his aim is to get them naked. Right freak!

The weird-looking one who describes people as, "my girl Jane" or whatever?

His programme is constructed to sell the stuff in the advertising slots.

They aren't necessarily untrustworthy witnesses, it depends.

Spouses are competant but not compellable as witnesses, which means they can give evidence but can't be forced to.

At 23.49 on 9/1/08 I sent an email to someone. Apart from that, I can't prove whether or not I was murdering someone.

I was in court in Feltham, and then had a Chambers meeting in the evening. So if the murder was in Manchester, I'm in the clear!

Trying to work out how apt the head of the Nigerian governments name is...

    Goodluck Jonathan!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I've no idea where I was that evening.... I can say "probably at X ...." and "almost 99.99% sure I'd have been alone" .... I did a post on MSE at 6pm, but I was probably chatting on another website that has no record/timestamps.

So ... on the basis it might be me that did it .... I now need to Google my way out of the country :)
