Got a request for any NPs who know north London. Meeting a mate who's coming up to London. Need to find a nice pub for a quick pint not too far from London Zoo.
Any recommendations? What I know about drinking places north of tsay Oxford Street I could write on my thumbnail without resorting to small print :D

Primrose Hill? trying to think of the name of the one that sometimes has some decent music......but its possibly the direction I'd head in.

The Gunmakers on Aybrook St used to be a decent spot. It's not too far past Baker St tube.

The Marylebone on Marlebone High St is meant to be good but I've not been that I can recall at least.

Jewellery....how long have you been togather? Is it time for a ring?

If not a ring, Tiffany does a lovely two rings interlocking necklace for about £200. Can't get to the UK site without it crashing, but it's this one:

Glad to hear that most NP's managed to have a good Christmas. We didn't do much this year. My Mum is still ill (she has been for 3 months now) so didn't spend long there as she wouldn't have coped and spent the afternoon with DH's family, which was lovely.

5.5 years. I think the time for a ring has been and gone. She's stopped asking now anyway!

All she has asked for is an iPad. Gooooood luck with that!

today we've started a new tradition. A Boxing day jaunt over Salisbury Plain on the roads/tracks normally closed to the public. the car is absolutely plastered with icky greyly anaemic mud.....not like the brown stuff we get down here. Its quite stunning landscape if you can tune out the trashed tanks etc.

Just because she's given up asking doesn't mean she doesn't still want one.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I know, but it suits me as I dont want to get married so I'm not going to reinvigorate the debate. I think she is saving her bullets for the "i want to buy a house now" and the "I want babies now" debates which are both imminent!

Pre-empt her for one or both or all!

Having a rest now, everything made and ready to go. Boys glued to PS3.
