Anyone fancy a 16,500 sq foot home in Norwich city centre? Needs a little bit of conversion work to make it into a comfortable family home. Guide price is £230-260k.

If you look at the plans, you'll see that it should be quite secure too.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Dear Lydia

So sorry that you are going through this awful time now. Your mum has the comfort, love and support of her family as she passes through this stage. I hope she remains peaceful.

Your dad is going to need a lot of support in the months to come. Thankfully you are both there for each other.

Thinking of you and your family and sending all my love. xxx

You should have just bunged the car on the nearest street. Presumably the traffic wardens are on strike too.

Most are privatised and work for companies like Vinci. Very dangerous assumption (well expensive, anyway). In one town I know I have witnessed Parking Attendants parking on a yellow box junction (only police can enforce and they've got other stuff to do) before walking in to town to ticket the cars of people who had committed lesser offences. Times you wish you had a camera.

I'm alright thank you lir. I do regularly think how I must visit everyone here, then other demands stop me.

Apart from this thread I've spent any number of hours arguing with the likes of (insert your choice of name :D). The same old intractable slanging matches go on and on and on. :)

Hope you are keeping well yourself?

What thing do NP's for job interview prep? I find I'm more nervous than DH now that he's pretty much decided to dip his toe the market. I'm also realising he has a plethora of very bold or pink ties. I hope the rest are in London and not at the bottom of a box somewhere. I hate the casual cothes in the City thing....

    Thanks treliac, and everyone else.

She died at 7pm this evening. I was there until about 3.30 this afternoon. I'm so glad I was able to go. My dad seems to be coping well so far. My middle brother is going to fly down to be with him tomorrow, while I stay at home with my kids - DS is taking it v badly as expected - and sort out a few things here. I'll go on Friday. I think my other two brothers will probably go on Friday too, so it'll be all four of us with my dad. I'm feeling specially grateful at this time that I belong to one of those rare families where all the siblings get along just fine.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

It always is tricky saying ''I'm glad her suffering is over''. I'm so very sad for you all to have lost her. Poor ds.....and you, how are YOU?

    Oh Lydia.

All you can do right now is to take care of each other. Losing your mum is one of the most profoundly sad times of your life.
