Four tickets to Disney on Ice next week at Wembley Arena, my initial joy though at finding out has been tempered by the discovery of just how expensive train travel is now....and I am not up to driving into London at all, so all a bit of a quandry.

Family railcard? Book ahead apex tickets? Coach?

As for me, I've never been to Northern Ireland (well apparently once as a child but I've no memory of it!).

I've not been to either N Ireland or Scotland. I have been to outer Mongolia, though....

.... fly to from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Prestwick.

One time i flew from Prestwick i was sitting in departures when the guy comes on the PA 45 minutes before the flight time... ( Flight AA101 to Cardiff...ehhh...were all checked in so if you make your way to gate 1 we can get going!). You get a great view when you take of over the Irish sea on a clear day.

Edinburgh always seems busy and a bit claustrophobic but is a nice flight in.

Glasgow is a typical slow international airport. The flight in is often bumpy and seems to take for ever to land.

PN....aren't you meant to have moved out this week?
    Not yet. 10 days.

I seem to have achieved "a happy old".... but I won't jinx it as tomorrow it might be a different story.

How exciting! I'd love to go to Mongolia. Jim Rogers went there in one of his books (Investment Biker?) and was talking about how Ulan Bator was progressing and now had its own stock market. I'd love to see it for myself. The idea of an extremely traditional countryside in which little has changed for centuries vs a modernising capital city appeals to me. Even the placename is evocative of marauding hordes, travelling across the Steppes.

How long ago were you there? What did you think of the place?

Thanks for the offer but a quick look on ebay suggests you should get at least £100 for them which could go in to your christmas pot.

LIR can you not both sign in on google talk and talk for free?

I was signed into my new gmail account but couldn't make that work for some technophobe reason. I'm seeing him soon anyway. :)

After stubbing the left toe and breaking the nail (not very ouch now, but bet it will be as the silly nail grows back!) I fell this morning and have cut the top of the other foot to shreds on the ground. :(

Nasty! But where were the steel toe capped wellies? Surely you weren't out this morning in your nightie & slippers? (OK I'll admit I did the hens in PJs and a coat thrown over the top.:D)

PJs and old ballet flats :o:D

I very rarely wear steel toe caps...not even sure where mine are. I gave the dentist palpatrations the other day as the horses danced around my feet. The weather is such it will be muckers from now on I guess. :D

Hiya  Missed a lot, been reading a bit. The laptop went screwy and I couldn't be bothered to clean it up for ages so I went off and did some stuff instead. I'ts getting cold though, so I don't like doing stuff so much any more.

Glad to see everyone doing their stuff too. Has fc been around? I like her new dresses :). Is NDG moved into her loft yet? I saw Generali left and now he's back again!

Lemonjelly is a daytime local of mine, I didn't know :) We finally move house on Tuesday from a bit NW of your work to bit further SW of your work. Your work is named the "Golden Cheese" in our household :).

Congrats on your move - let us know how well it goes.

    What you bin readin'?

The "golden cheese" is allegedly a conference centre! Did you work it out from t'other place? I'm assuming you are just south of where I work?:)

Good to see you back anyway.:)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
