And don't get him started on 'Sauf of the river'

I was looking at starting an ebay business that took 35 hours a week (may be 34.5 hours marketing and researching stock and 30 mins listing and shipping) no profit needed in order to pocket all the tax credits, I don't think the implied NMW thing has come in yet but it is definitely planned to close this loop hole.

Had an interesting day yesterday, took DS to duty doctor yesterday at 4AM with fast shallow breathing related to a cold/virus and spent the day in A&E/children's ward with him having oxygen and nebulizers as his o2 levels were poor. Luckily he perked up enough to be allowed home at 7pm but he has to take mega-doses on a puffer. This is all new to me as neither he nor any of the other kids has had this sort of thing before.

Apart from the odd early adopter (who are no doubt seen as wierdos/toffs/magicians) I don't think they have the internet north of Birmingham do they?

Agreed, but last time I looked, Sydney was well sauf of the river. Worse still, it's south east of the river. A bit like Peckham.

    they?

From 2013, when universal credits come in, they were planning to close this loop hole. There are objections so it may not happen. In the mean time you can claim.

Michaels, hope DS is OK today. Never ended up in A&E with them, but remember nights in steaming bathrooms trying to get rid of croup.

Been quite a few times to A&E for nebulizers for our second youngest when he was little. He's had no relapse in the last 18 years, though.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • Hope your son's OK Michaels - sounds scary for you all.

The Team Who Shall Not be Mentioned come from Woolwich.

Apparently riverside flats at Galleons Point sell for a lot less than the ones in Woolwich. The reason? Well the people in GP have to look at Woolwich all day whereas the buyers in Woolwich get a view of North London. Plus there's a chance that [football team] will return to Woolwich one day and the poor buyers at GP will have to look at that horrible lot too!

Hell, that's bad. I hope he's ok. I had terrible croup as a kid and spent many a night in a steamy bathroom and a handful in hospital. I'm pretty fit and strong these days though. Not many 40y/os could cycle 200km in a day.

I had to explain to someone from Bradford that my horseless carriage wasn't a dragon a few years back. It was kinda embarrassing.

Hope all's well with your son, michaels- we spent enough time in A&E when our daughter's appendix went bad. Took us by surprise as me and Mrs Z are still proud owners of our appendices- found out later it skips generations and my dad had his taken out when he was a schoolboy.

To make matters worse, the witless wonders and charisma vacuums running our benighted land are looking at shutting another A&E or even a whole hospital in SW London, after we already lost our closest one a few years back. Heaven knows how far we'd have to trek to get any medical emergencies sorted out then :(
