Morning all!
I agree, call the police on the non-emergency number and if they are interested, if they aren't, then they've got a new, high quality axe. I don't see it as dwelling on bad possibilities, just moving through the logical steps.
In terms of the 14/16 hours thing, this is changing but I don't know when. I'd try and find out. In terms of the other stuff, Job Centres are under pressure so will deliver the absolute minimum to your friend so she may need to do research on the net. There are more unemployed than for years and fewer JC+ staff and something has had to give. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I agree, call the police in a non-alarmist way, to report a found item....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Mornin u lot
The chances are the axe was dumped after an intended criminal act. I doubt if it would have been purchased either.
I'm looking forward to the Wales game. Come on the taffs :T:j:T0 -
Toric contact lenses? On a contract, should be about £25 a month max. If you get on one of the schemes from the big chains, you should also get discounts on the glasses.
I can't wear soft lenses. They don't correct my vision enough. I wear rigid gas permeables but they always need fitting. Well, they apparently need a better fit than the last one i got.
the last optician (from high st chain) over corrected my right eye for my astigmatism by over 100, so the contact lenses from that prescription would have been not quite right as well.
And although I have bad astigmatism in my right eye, I wear a standard lens there and a toric lens in my left eye. :rotfl::rotfl:
We are making cider today. Let's see if we are a good team.0 -

A little chap like the one above has been basking in the garden this morning. A nice thing about moving is a change in common local wildlife. Haven't had any slowworms yet here, where they were reulars at last place (cats brought them home a lot), but hedgehogs and lizards are lovely0 -
This year I've noticed the slugs are HUUUUUUGE!0

Am I right in saying that this thread is geographically focussed on areas round the London/ Black Country/Bristol conurbations?
Every geographical reference seems in a triangle between London/ West country/ West Midlands. Nobody from Wales, east Anglia or points North?
Actually, scratch that- I forgot Generali's in Oz!There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I thought that the Black Country is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay North? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I've been wanting fish pie for ages, so put one on tonight for tomorrow supper so we can just bung it in while getting stuff done here....but idn't realise how little fish we had in the freezer. (I'm sure there is some hiding somewhere.) Its more like veg pie with a very thin fish layer. Still looks and smells good though..0
