me neither. I also am always surprised the stuff that interests me...so..
the nice thing aboiut the interent is people can gloss over the bits that don't suit. That doesn't go down well at, for example, dinner parties
I want to do something nice for dh tomorrow, something special, but having trouble deciding what....0 -
almost everything
what's not interesting then? (btw I don't just think I KNOW I type inane drivel. Keeps me off the streets though...which is why I suppose I can't be on the up your income board)
Oh, I've been meaning to say for ages for PN....when Lydiaj came she especially asked to see Strawbery the chicken of slurry fame. I thought that would tickle PN.0 -
We didn't learn typing at school at all and I really wish we had. My typing is self taught and terrible. I use the 1st finger on each mostly...in fact I am typing this and checking and I don't use any other fingers at all....or thumbs. DD is amazing at touch typing, especially after her secretarial course.
I didn't teach myself computers until a few years ago and now I couldn't live without them. I am really working at hard at teaching myself CAD pattern cuttingOne of the issues is I didn't realise how much of what I do is by eye (in the sense of proportion etc) and seeing my patterns digitised onto a screen has taken some getting used to but, hurrah, this week I did send out several graded nests to factories.
The company gave us training but it wasn't great and I am used to RTFM'ing to learn.....and making lots of errors then trying to put them right.
I feel a little proud of my new skill cos it looks really flash toowhen I am plotting and clicking on shapes, moving and manipulating them around the screen.

I missed this story..is there a link and what was it about?lostinrates wrote: »so....I think the meeting today went well and hopefully answered once and for all the questions about planning. 3 weeks we should hear in.
Sadly, that puts us too late to start any exterior work, because they can't do anything involving lime mortar if there is a frost. There is stuff we can do, presuming it all goes through, but nothing as urgent.
I saw my chicken that has gone feral again this morning. She looks skinny. Probably why she came by for some food. I had hoped she'd wander back with some chicks eventually, but no sign of anyone new with her, just her.
Poor feral chicken....could you leave a bit of feed out for her and make a trail back to the coop (hansel + Gretel stylee) or is that a dumb townie ideaFC123 better watch out (FC get it) What is going on here?

Handily, our name is a bit odd due to the intentional misspell and we have trade marked it but even massive mega companies get caught out on TM's.
Little bit of goss...but can't possibly disclose where + who......big company decides to make a few quid off a celeb moment so take a catch phrase and place it on Tees. They funded the whole thing, took care of all production (which is the really hard bit) and it sold really well for 2 weeks....then someone overseas notified them via legals that they had used their TM as the catchphrase.
Because the catch phrase was in diff colour/type to the sentence and placed away from the remainder of the sentence it was seen as a breach...had the CP been in same colour/type and flowed after the sentence they would have been fine.0 -
More boring drivel from me...as you know, this is the bath I am having in the ensuite:
I am then going to tile with some white carrara marble floor tiles and similar (ceramic not marble wall tiloes) with some 'inverse' black with white veining highlight tiles. I then want to have a wall hung toilet and basin but I am not sure what design to go for - does anyone think this would go?I think....0 -

when she's come back she comes right into the house to eat then disappears...e.g. she wasn't there tonight or through the day but she was definietely there this morning. My guess is she might come back more in winter. Its not totally weird for them to disappear for long enough to hatch a clutch of eggs then come back with their babies...it is weird to go off like she has...my presumption is she's tried to have babies but something might have got them. she might even be living in the hay or something....though I think Lydias' kids might have found her if she were.0 -

i think a wall hung loo and basin would go with that bath well (though don't really like wall hung loos I think they do however look easy to keep clean.)0 -

It looks nice...wall hung loos, like LIR said...so much easier to clean.
Had an architect come up today for 1st chat. PP looks hopeful too for what we would like.
I think we will have a steel framed extension.
Have been looking at koeber glazing but very pricey.
He was explaining the difference between solar and PV panels....so those will be tonights google.
Gound source no go as we don't have enough groundand reading about air source, seems the claims on how much energy they produce is exgagerated by the sellers. Good thread on green forum about them.
