Is it possible to find day care short term for the other?
Yes, it's on the list .... but new crises arriving hourly/daily, so can't just choose to slot things in. Planning on dragging well old out there Mon/Tue for a trial ..... but by then I might be having to drag them out on official business instead. Way too big a story to tell here/now .... huge.... and now I have to dash off as I have more important stuff to do/endure and tasks to do and errands to run ... and I think I ate last Wednesday0 -
PN, sorry to hear that, if there is anything we might be able to help, ask.
You're coping really well

Brain's all over the place, 2-3 hours sleep each night, too much to do/sort, everything's moving so much faster than information/services/calls can catch up.... I have one old behaving like an 8 year old under medical care and another old at home that's reverted to childhood and behaving like an 8 year old .... having to abandon one old (alone) sometimes just to try to get some other things done ... and there's danger they might be a danger to themselves, but I have to abandon them sometimes and hope things are OK when I get back. I've one with probably under a week to go - and the other one going into La La Land to try to blot it out.
No chance of any help from the erst of your family, PN? This is really the time when everyone needs to rally round. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
PN, sorry to hear the situation is so difficult. Oh, Pastures I am so sorry. Next time you are at the chemist, get yourself some Complan shakes. They aren't perfect but you just add to milk and they are nutritionally balanced. When my Mum was up and about all hours looking after my nan and sister they are what she used. Not a long term solution, but will help get some food in you. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

PN - please make sure you eat properly whilst going through this horrendous time, I have learnt from experience that running yourself into the ground and not eating correctly whilst in crisis is not a good thing. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
My thoughts are with you PN. Have you spoken to the charity that viva put you in touch with? They may be able to send someone round to help with some of the admin stuff like the blue badge. Getting a blue badge would in turn make your life easier.0
