Another day nearer the holidays, another ds meltdown
This time, he went to the park with our neighbour and his son, and the pair of them were apparently taking turns on the zipwire. When it was ds turn he said he wanted to do it himself but his friend pushed him anyway, which was enough to send ds into a rage and he got off the zipwire, ran over and put his hands around his friends neck
The dad split the pair of them up and said they carried on arguing for another 5 minutes before he brought them home. He said it was 50/50 and not just ds fault, but yet again I can't even let him play with a friend without it all going horribly wrong
He desperately needs to socialise more with other kids and without me around as he is too reliant on me and spends too much time with me, but every time we try he goes and ruins it like this
Once home he had a 10 minute screaming fit and kicked off his shoes, one narrowly missing me. I told him to get in the car and we went off to collect a parcel from the sorting office, a distraction like that often helps calm him and it worked. I told him that as soon as we got home he was to get into his pj's and get into bed and he did, he's in bed now, the earliest for weeks, he's playing with a toy in bed but I don't mind that as long as he's calm. I really hope it doesn't take long to get the referral through that his school have done, they said I should hear something over the holidays.
The parcel was an m&s order I did for some of his new school uniform for September, at least I can tick some of that off the list nowMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

And for Pixiechick and anyone else who's interested, my summer holidays list for this year has a slightly different format; there are several categories of things to be done, each will have its own sublist
The categories are;
- Moneymaking: I'm aiming to make £500 this summer, this can come from car boot sales, ebay, mystery shops, matched betting and anything else!
- Home: Apart from the usual deep-cleaning and gutting of every single drawer and cupboard in my flat, this also includes additional tasks such as cleaning all the windows inside and out, hiring a carper cleaner, buying and getting put up some shelves etc.
- Fitness: Really must start making an effort here, so this one so far includes cycling 100 miles in total with ds and also working on the couch to 5k programme.
- Social: A whole variety of days out / things to do for the pair of us
- Other: Bits that don't ft elsewhere such as entering comps and financial planning stuff
Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Woop woop...another organised list:beer:
Mine only exists in my head right now - and only contains clearing out drawers, cupboards and wardrobes...exciting;) And I have a vague plan to get ebaying....I need to get a move on:o
Enjoy the last 2 days...what a feeling it is on Saturday...6 long weeks stretching out in front of us:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Less than 24 hours to go now :j :j
Tonight when I collected ds I paid his school lunch account (£17), bought his new jumpers and tie for September (£27), paid afterschool club (£19) and then went to sainsburys for a couple of bits (£12). Ds is now on the phone to his friend who moved to Devon while I catch up on here and with a cup of tea for five minutes
Tonights plan involves getting ds to write the teachers thankyou cards and wrap their presents. Thats about it, everything else can wait until the holidaysMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Ah that's very kind of you to think of me:o:o
Funny - we did a school trip into Bristol a couple of weeks ago so saw one gorilla near Queen Sq then there was another by @Bristol. I might try and persuade my girls to go looking for them;) (But they'll probably roll their eyes now and ask to go into Cabot Circus instead:p)
I loved the lions and really loved the pigs the year before that - easily pleased me:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
