Morning, crouchy came over last night and we had a nice evening together ... today I need to get a few jobs done this morning (buying / delivering a birthday present etc), then collect a friend and take her for her hospital appointment at lunchtime before collcting ds this afternoon :)

I have one bid on ebay so far (£3.99) :j and two other items have two people each watching them (one is a bin though :o). The flat is tidy, I have just emptied the sidhwasher, made the bed and hung up the washing, I will whizz the hoover round this morning and have my shower too. Now that most of my bits are on ebay I may go through some of the car boot stuff and see if any of that is worth sticking on there, I don't think there will be much but I ought to check :)

Have been to the post office and sent back a pair of trousers I ordered that looked lovely in the pic but in reality were identical to some my nan had in the 70's  :rotfl:

Then I went to the local card shop and stocked up, I got all the cards I need for birthdays for the rest of the year and in total it only came to £4.10 :T (They do some lovely bargain ones but you have to rummage through to find them ;)).

I also wrapped up the present for friends new baby, now need to find and wrap birthday present for her other son and then they're ready to be delivered.

...Benben goes off feeling quite smug at actually getting on with stuff for a change rather than sitting on the sofa :D ....

It turned into a bit of a ramble:D But do check out that website - as long as you don't want to make changes after booking I think it's worth it. And if you don't mind flying on cheapo airways. I found Ryanair fine - just didn't like the fact you can't book a seat, it's just pile on the plane and grab one:rotfl:

We've been looking for next year - but seems so expensive, maybe I'll have to wait. But girls are growing up so quickly, I want to get in holidays with them while they still want to come with me:o:o

Meant to add - the cheap flights aren't available yet - think Easyjet/Ryanair appear around the end of Sept-ish time.

Morning all, ds managed a lie in until 8.15 this morning, which gave me time to go through the finances and see how bad I've been this holidays :o
Well, the results aren't good, but they're also not as bad as I thought. I am currently £23 overspent with a week to go until payday :o However, this month I will be getting 2 tax credits payments (13 payments over 12 months and this is the fab month when I get two lots :)). Originally this was all allocated to the christmas / birthday fund, but as I have been able to get some great deals on bits I don't need all of it to go in there now, so any shortfall this month can be covered from there. However, I don't want all of it to go that way, I am hoping to put £100 or so into the mortgage pot, and £100 into the holiday fund for next summer :)

Once we're back at school my spending should drop dramatically, 5 days a week I'm at school so theres not much I can buy there :D Not sure yet whether the holida will be feasible, maybe I will add in to it any child maintenance payments over the next 12 months, depending on sentencing and then whether he gets another job  There are still arrears of £700 on it but I won't get it in a big chunk, if I get it at all that is, but anything is now a bonus :(
