Sky Broadband Anyone Have it?

I have Sky BB , no complaints from me!YNWA
Target: Mortgage free by 58.0 -
I am interested in the sky as i was going to go to freesat but if i can get a cheaper bundle and keep sky that would work for me.

Thanks
Sky is damned good - I was on Plusnet before that but like you, Sky/Talktalk LLU are the only options I have. I've been very surprised. Speeds are good even in peak time and when I had a problem last week when both my phone and broadband failed at 10pm on a Saturday night it was resolved within 12 hours and was on when I got up from a Sunday morning lie in.0 -
may seem a daft question but is it easy to switch to sky0
-
Completely depends whom you are switching from: specifically, whether you are already on an LLU line-and whether you are on a Sky LLU exchange. No free lunch, and no free laptop

hi
switching from aol ....
checked sky is available to me .... thats all i can tell you lol0 -
Sky broadband is available on all exchanges, but you are presumably looking to go to the Sky LLU service, which is what the other posters have been praising? Sky Connect (non-LLU) is dire.
Do an exchange search on www.samknows.com to see if yours is LLU'd for Sky.
Do you pay your line rental to BT or AOL?
If AOL, you may have an LLU line, in which case you'll have to go back to BT for 12m line rental on a return to donor. LLU to LLU direct switches are very difficult, most ISP's can't be bothered. Once back on the BT network, you can order your broadband from Sky.No free lunch, and no free laptop

hi,
i pay line rental to bt
internet to aol
and have sky tv
just thought it might be cheaper to have it in all one place
its saying on that site that sky llud... whatever that is is availble in my area ... lol
sorry i dont understand this sort of stuff much0 -
It would be in your interest to learn about LLU, 'cos LLU exchanges offer cheaper broadband.
FWIW I'd keep my line rental with BT and use Line rental saver to keep costs down. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
So your line is not LLU'd to AOL/TT.
Then if your exchange is LLU for Sky, then you should be able to switch to the Sky LLU broadband product.
You can check on the Sky site if it's any cheaper-but it's not actually necessary to have a Sky TV sub in order to have Sky broadband. No free lunch, and no free laptop
