Can i just indulge myself and share my DD2 1st school report...only a couple of snippets i promise...

Average score 78 - DD2 got 101, and a quote from teacher " ****** is a little girl with a huge personality" and " Her enthusiasm is infectious and is always cheerful":D:T:T.

Well done to your DD. My DS scored 80 which considering 6 months ago he was waaaaaay behind I think is incredible.
However the reason I had to write to head teacher is because they decided to inform all the reception parents of how they've split the year one classes for September. Those children in Mrs X class are average or above average and those children in Mrs Y class are average or below average :eek: I mean I don't have an issue with them splitting the class like this but really do they have to make it sound like one class is for the brainy kids and the other class is for as my friend rather crudely termed it the "thickos" :( Considering how competitive parents can be I felt it was poor judgement to stigmatise one set of children. Anyway I am not the only one to complain so we'll see what gets said.

Anyway party - weather was horrendous. Gazebo started leaking this morning during torrential rain so spent a precious hour I didn't have trying to stop a flood in the tent  Sun came out when everyone had left <rollseyes> I am knackered and not sat down all day. Scoffed oven chips for tea and I am ready to drop. I intend to sit down this evening and do b*gger all but drink :p

Lou - Hugs for you honey xx

Goobergirl - Happy birthday to your DD :D

All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.
