Tried talking to H about things but he just turns all Mr Practical on me when what I want to do is have a cuddle and a cry :( .

I have come to the conclusion that all men, no matter what their age or size, are all still 4 years old !! they just have no idea what is going on around them at all, you have to spell it out in very simple words, otherwise it all goes over their heads :D:rotfl:

I hope the party goes well, and afterwards, take some time for yourself, and if you have to get a takeaway for dinner then s*d it, just get one !!

Bargainbird, nice to see you posting, have a hug my darling xx

Raining here too, I have OH work clothes in the wm, think that will have to be the last load for today, will hang them on the airer, need to hoover through, empty bins etc.

Dinner tonight will be tacos, OH's turn to cook :D dd does fridays and oh saturdays, which gives me a nice break :T. Got mum and dads dog here to give them a break, so will run her back later.

DD has her interview today, fingers crossed please, hope she does well, need to nip into lidl for washing liquid and crisps, will send OH to a different shop which sell hugs blocks of cheese marked up from between £9 - £12 but they sell them for £5, we always rummage for the biggest weight for £5 :D

Goobergirl Happy Birthday to your dd, she sounds like a lovely girl xx

OK better get on, have good days all xx

PS had a very good night on Ebay last night, more in the 'house that Ebay built' fund :D

Poor DH is out getting soaked delivering his milk.
Need to have words with DS2 - he wasn't in at 4am:eek: and not answering his phone. He is 19 but I think he should be more considerate as he's still living under my roof. He's in bed now - not sure what time he got in as I nodded back off.

Need to go through the freezers this morning ready to do a shopping list - need a cheap shopping bill this week.

    Have a great weekend all x x

Hello Chums not raining yet but quite overcast and a lot cooler.Going to have a bit of a potter today ,I will probably make some butterfly cakes for my DGS as they love them and a couple of dozen of those will vanish like butter on a hot knife.I also want to have a sort out of my freezer and re do the list of food that I have on the front of it.Tonight I am taking my DD and her OH and four of the boys to a local theme pub for a meal as a treat The children rarely get to eat out and I like to treat them now and again. My DD and her OH are very good to me one way and another and its my way of saying thank you.The pub has an area where the smaller one can let off steam and as its indoors then if the weather does turn nasty it won't make much differance. The boys all got excellent reports from school so I think deserve a treat .
No shopping to buy at the moment I am doing well working though the freezer and food mountain in the cupboard. I hope every one has a nice weekend and if you are going out and about take care
    Have a nice day
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Greetings fellow Old Stylers :D

Feeling very smug actually all the washing is done and dry. Still have my very thick down and feather coat airing off in the conservatory but everything in it has 'puffed' back up to normal now so I think it is aired through. The winter coats now cleaned, washed and dry will go up in the loft for the time being. We have a hanging rail up there just for that purpose as I like to keep the downstairs cloakroom free from too many out of season coats.

I was up at 4.15am to go to the Next sale, got some stuff that I wanted and anoter load to be taken back. Off down Lidl's in a bit to get in the meatballs and other odds and bobs from there. Two bloody queue jumpers, you know they walk up to their friends at the last minute who happen to be standing near the front of the queue makes me ruddy mad, still four people shouted at them "queue jumping, queue jumping" :D

Currently raining heavy here at the moment. Managed to get the dogs out over the field in between a rain break!

I might - if I'm feeling brave - tidy up the garage in a bit and go through the store cupboards out there (contains cleaning stuff BOGOF tins and jars, big boxes of washing powder you name it :D)!
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D

    Morning everyone,

It is pouring with rain here, it is so wet that OH cancelled his bike ride.
I have just been to the supermarket and got absolutely soaked on the way out.
Mind you the garden needs the rain, just hope that it clears up for DS's football this pm and Bitsy for your DDs party.
Goober girl Happy Birthday to your DD as well.

I am finally having a night in tonight after 5 nights out in a row, probably the only 5 nights that I have been out all year, why do they always all happen at once?

Need to start sorting the packing as we are off camping in France next saturday- really looking forward to it.

Bargainbird lovely to see you posting.

Hester You gave me a giggle this morning.

Welcome to newbies- it is not long since I was a newbie myself and I have been made to feel very welcome here.

Hugs to all that need them.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning All

Very wet here and the forecast says that we have rain up until Tuesday at least :( I am so glad I got all of the washing done including the bedding over the last few days.

smiley-greet002.gif to bitsy's DD and I hope the weather clears for the party
GooberGirl - Happy Birthday for your DD as well smiley-greet003.gif

We have the staff BBQ tonight so I hope that the rain stops for a couple of hours this evening.

Waiting on some books from Amazon ( Christmas Pressies) but no postie yet - we have had our post at 4.45 before now which gets my goat especially with the high cost of postage these days

DH is giving the bathroom a good scrub today for me, which helps me so much.

Well I am off to make a pizza for the kidlets ( Hulking great teens really smiley-laughing002.gif)
    have good days all x

(((((Bitsy))))) hope it goes well today and that you get a chance to chill out afterwards

    Happy birthday Miss Goobergirl

RR - good luck to DD

Sun is poking it's head out of the rain clouds so I've risked putting the WM on. It'll dry indoors but I'd like to get it out for a bit of a blow!

Silly question alert.....just went to make bread in my BM but realised I only have 8ounces of wholemeal bread flour, not the 12ounces I need. Will it be ok if I make the difference up with white breadflour?

    Hi Flutterby

I often use a mixture of wholemeal and white flour in my BM.

    Your loaf will be fine.:)
  • Flutterby adding white bread flour makes a wholemeal loaf lighter in texture x
