Well take it to innocent smoothie then since they decide about the carton size, sainsburtys just stock it.0

i've been outraged by this outright scam by the corporations. i'm sick of them trying to have us by the short & curlies.
i've made "innocent" aware of my disgust by mailing them a poo in a jiffy bag, with a note pinned to it 'squeeze that into yer bloody juice'
if that doesn't let them know i'm disgusted, i don't know what will.
2sides2everystory, if you do decide to take joka cola to court, let me know, i'll give them my own brand of litigation and make their lawyers look like first year legal students. i'll make them feel tiny. at least 25% smaller. i bet i've read way more forums than them aswell.

sainsburys choose what price to charge, but not a say in the packaging,
what outcome do you exactly want as i cant see 1 coming your way,0 -
sainsburys pick a price yes but not a say in the packaging,
(a) you work for Innocent, or
(b) you work for a part of Sainsburys where you would know about such things, or
(c) because we live in a free country and we are all entitled to spout whatever nonsense we like?0 -

(a) you work for Innocent, or i wish i did, i imagine its a good firm to work for as you can reduce the carton size willy nilly
(b) you work for a part of Sainsburys where you would know about such things, dont work for sainsburys anymore but only store side
or (c) because we live in a free country and we are all entitled to spout whatever nonsense we like?
Here we go again, Ive no connection to innocent or any producer of any drinks or food stuffs.
Just because people dont see your pov you immediately say we work for the company concerned.
If you cant accept its then your choice. If you think your so right re sainsburys having a say in the packaging then prove me wrong so go on prove me wrong, if im wrong then im wrong. As i stated earlier the carton size is on the sel with the price so if you dont read it your choice, dont tell me you dont read the shelf edge labels when buying stuff.0 -

I used to work for Sainsbury's. I can confirm that they are given a list of products, and they then order from that list. They do not get a say in the packaging of non-own brand products. That is a job for the designers at Coca Cola. There is no place for the company to offer feedback either. If they are happy with a product, they sell it. If not, they don't.0 -
op, accusing people of working for the companies in question because they don't agree with your !!!!!!-sense crackpot tin-foil hat conspiracy theory just makes you look a bit radio rental.helpful tips

2sides2everystory wrote: »Nothing in Sainsburys highlighted a reduced carton size. Why for example didn't they change the carton shape as they have done with the 1.25l "value pack" which they have made to look much wider than ever before? The reason is because the marketeers are deliberately tricking customers who have been led over many years to believe that there is 1 litre in that shaped carton whether it is Innocent Smoothie or Sainsburys own label pressed juice.
(a) put 750ml in a 1 litre carton, or
(b) filled a 750ml carton, but put a 1 litre sticker on it.
I would suggest most people would notice if something was 25% smaller than the usual carton they buy, and the fact that it now says 750ml is a bit of a giveaway. Trust me, a lot of manufacturers are doing this now. As prices are increasing, would you rather:
(a) pay the same price for a 750ml?
(b) pay more for a 1 litre carton?
As many people are on a limited budget, the manufacturers have decided to go with option (a).I detect that most of you ridiculing this might not have lived long enough to appreciate that an expectation of standard weights and measures linked to an established product has for centuries been part of the unwritten contract between retailers and their customers and that trickery of this nature has long been held as an abomination in the eyes of the Lord?
(b) Interesting link between the downsizing of a juice carton and religion there!0 -
DCFC you have drawn totally the wrong inference again.
I don't care who you work for, I am just interested in how you qualify your assertions.
It is easy to be a shelf-stacker and to assume well last week Innocent sent 1l packs and this week the Innocent lorry just delivered 750ml packs and our manager said we had to just put 'em out and to infer that ergo, Innocent decide what size they are and Sainsburys don't!
But you are completely wrong - supermarkets as big as Sainsburys have absolutely enormous clout with suppliers, even if they are Coca Cola in sheeps clothing. Have you ever been inside the buying departments at Sainsburys Head Office at Holborn? Do you know what they do?
It may well be that Innocent/Coca Cola did recently wish to alter their entire production to 750ml containers (clearly they didn't because they are also messing with the 1.25l containers alongside the others). However, they constantly have to negotiate with Sainsburys on price, promotion and for shelf space and Sainsburys will strongly put their own views across about what they want.
Ultimately, Sainsburys are just as guilty as Innocent for the misleading actions we have witnessed.0
