Stuck on loo seat

I also thought someone was actually stuck on a loo, I was imagining an accident involving superglue on the loo seat.
:rotfl: and they just happened to have their laptop within arms reach to ask fellow MSE'ers how to get off?? :rotfl::rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Many many years ago my uncle got stuck to a loo seat that my aunt had varnished without telling him.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
If the WD40 doesn't work, get metal drills in a variety of sizes, and drill out the bolts from the top. Start with a slim drill to take out the centre of the bolt, and increase the size in stages till you get to the point where the bolt disintegrates without you drilling into the porcelain0

For rusted up bolts, I prefer plusgas over WD40. WD40 is more of a water repellent lubricant, whereas plus gas breaks the rust down.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

unfortunatly this wont work, as the loo seat doesnt have bolt access from the top, they are covered by the loo seat and the bloomin screw that holds the seat on is also rusted in place _pale_
am tempted to take a hammer to the entire loo and just buy a new one and get someone to plumb it in for me0 -

Surely, if Mr S is noticing Next purchases and overdrafts, it might just be a little more tactful to say you had to get someone in to change the seat over, rather than you had to get someone to deal with the water going everywhere, relay the flooring, redecorate the downstairs ceiling, replace the broken loo AND put your nice new peefree seat on?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

I agree with this. Plus gas is also known as penetrating oil. I recently dismantled a World War II Anderson shelter. WD40 was useless but penetrating oil had the bolts free in a few minutes.0 -
Try the plusgas. I had to hacksaw off the bolts on a loo last summer, but I touched the porcelain with the blade and left a mark. It's small, but I know it's there. I should have come on here firstimport this0
